Rudy Gay, Parker and Beasley all had their chances to be the man but didn't. I suppose it takes more than being a copy to make buckets and go to the offs. None of them are hard workers improving their techniques.
Melo was also strong and quick for his size. Exactly what those guys lacked.
The way y'all are facetious when it comes to Melo is astounding.
Paul had those amazing Clippers teams and did what with them? And yet Paul finally made it to the conference finals last year.
Wade got his rings while his body was in mint condition.
Bosh, LeBron had to stack the deck in the East. Aldridge has had a great cast for years now.
Deron Williams also had everyone playing out of their mind. But that was one year.
Most guys hit that amazing year once.
Melo sustained it for 13 years.
CP3, Wade and Lebron are MVP caliber players...and had MVP caliber seasons...Carmelo hasn't
Chris Bosh and Lamarcus were smart enough to realize they ain't the MAN....
Rudy Gay's original team traded his ass because they realized he isn't needed...
Michael Beasley got shipped around because he wasn't needed...
Jabari Parker was actually pretty good before he got injured and came back was the same player, but his style of play ain't needed either...
Carmelo came in the league at the right time and the right place because it was the ending of the Iso-Ball, midrange jumpers with the foot on the line era...and everybody wanted an elite iso wing player to carry 4 scrubs...Carmelo fit that mold...
Nuggets traded Carmelo and was just fine without him....they played D, passed the ball, got everybody shots...
Carmelo ain't changed at all...he still the same guy that isos, takes 4 jab stab steps, for a midrange in your face jumper, or pumps fakes at the 3 point line for a pull-up....
Carmelo was never that good...on the winning side of things...talented yeah...but great...like Top 5 player....nah...all-time great player...not really....
