bring up all the stats u want, you'd have to be a complete idiot to claim lebron is anywhere near as good a shooter as kobe, or has anywhere close to the same fundamental skill and footwork.....at this point, ur either trollin or are a typical casual basketball fan who has never even played an organized game of ball in his life and probably doesnt even watch games in their entirety...espn highlights are a muthafukka tho!

What's the point of arguing that bullshyt? The goal is to put the ball in the basket and LeBron does it better and more efficiently than Kobe. Basketball isn't a sport that has a qualifier for style or difficulty.

Im sorry you think it's unfair that LeBron is bigger, faster, and stronger and that Kobe has to make impossible fadeaways just to come close to him but fukk it, :umad:

find better points...efficiency is position based. forwards are SUPPOSED to be more efficient than guards, just like centers are supposed to be more efficient than forwards. it doesnt make them "better", it just means they have less range and the luxury of taking easier shots. kobe is guarded three times as hard as lebron, based on the fact that he is a much more diverse scorer. any1 who argues this simply doesn't know basketball.

I don’t understand why people continue to try to compare players of different positions just based on statistical and numerical analysis. In my opinion statistics, whatever the statistic, is largely dependent on the circumstances the player is in. Basketball is far too intricate of a game to be only described by statistics. Statistics don’t tell you what role a Basketball player is asked to play with whichever lineup is in and whether or not the player’s role changes as different players come in the game and etc. For example, LeBron James is a point forward. He plays the role of a facilitator and he is given more playmaking duties. Also LeBron being a small forward, he is asked to rebound as well. Therefore he is going to have more assists and rebounds than a “shooting” guard. Kobe Bryant is a “shooting” guard. He asked to primarily “shoot”. His role is completely different than LeBron’s.

kobe made the playoffs and pushed a 2nd seeded suns team (who woulda swept any of lebrons cav teams) to a 7 game series....with a starting line-up consisting of luke walton-smush parker-kwame brown....LOL!

Missed the playoffs altogether with Lamar Odom and Caron Butler, huh?

Big problem here chief, LeBron is a massive outlier among even small forwards when it comes to efficiency. He shot the 5th highest FG% in the entire league this year, and nobody else in the top 10 attempted even 1/3rd as many 3s as him. Everyone else was a PF or C, his efficiency rivals that of a big man, all while hitting over 100 threes. He isn't just efficient, he's a statistical anomaly, a dude that is top 5 in scoring & FG% and top 10 in assists per game.

Theres guards with better shooting numbers than LeBron. It just aint Kobe lmao. If Kobe is so great, he wouldnt need your caveats.

coaching change midway through season, injury-riddled team....that team tanked. what he did in the smush-luke-kwame years more than proved his ability to excel the games of others.

Kobe has the ball just as much as LeBron does. If Kobe's sole responsibility is to score and thats the only way he can ever beat you......and doesnt even score as well as LeBron, guess what?

Not at all, im just saying that Kobe being a guard isnt the reason hes a worse shooter and scorer than LeBron James. The numbers stand on its own, is all. It must suck for LeBron to be better than Kobe at everything Kobe does best. Ah well.

kevin durant shot 51% from the field this year as a small forward...better than any season lebron had in cleveland, and shoots way more mid-range and outside shots. LOL again!

if numbers said it all, then bill russell is nowhere near wilt chamberlain, but we all know thats not the case...for basketball enthusiasts who can look past empty numbers and actually understand the game and the complexity of it, theres much more to the sport of basketball than statistics and espn highlights....and yes, being a guard and attempting 3x as many threes does have a lot to do with it LOL

By the numbers -

Durant -
81% of his shots were jumpers, he shot .522% eFG on them, 50% of his jumpers were assisted.

LeBron -
65% of his shots were jumpers, shot .526% eFG on them, 37% of his jumpers were assisted.

You're trying to paint LeBron out as someone that only scores from inside as though he's a center, when in fact 12.2ppg were from jumpshots, by comparison the guy who you're saying scored "way more" scored 14.9ppg on jumpers and more of LeBron's shots overall are unassisted.
