I think he is bruh. Only other dude I've seen team defend like that is prime Ibaka before he got all banged up. Dude would come from anywhere on the floor and block your shot and still have the reflexes and quickness to get back to his guy. Draymond is in the same class as far as team defenders are concern.

As for the thread. LO was 6'10 and could do everything that Draymond could do. Give me LO with the Lakers any day of the week.
Nah man. Are you just talking right now or something?

LeBron in Miami was a better team defender than Draymond Green. That's not even really going back to certain centers from the past, like David Robinson or Hakeem Olajuwon. Guys like Shawn Marion and Jason Kidd are underrated in a conversation like this as well, though neither would be the GOAT of this conversation. Dennis Rodman in Detroit, Ben Wallace. Draymond was better than him but I'm giving a shoutout to Andrei Kirilenko as well. I think guys are too caught up in just what is happening right now.

Draymond by a wide margin

LO's game was more pleasant to the eyes tho...he had flair

But when it comes to championship ball, Draymond is a mix between Pippen & Rodman

Draymond is literally a top 15 player playing in this GS system

Two seasons ago, Draymond averaged more dimes, Rebs, blocks steals, threes than y'all KANG

I know you do, but this thread isn't asking who's the more talented player. And I don't know what the fukk you're talking about Draymond 'following orders" and 'listens to their coach' - he's the exact opposite to that.
hush up dayday game ugly and swagless lo was butter smooth did everything easy*

I'll give you LeBron in Miami. Teams were legit afraid to run pick n rolls against them because of the way he and Bosh would blitzed the ball handler. But I've always viewed centers as individual defenders even tho, Pat, Dream, and Dave were unique. So I see your point. But watching Draymond is different. Dude never gives up on a play almost never seems out of position.

See, this is why I know you don't know what the fukk you're talking about. Rodman didn't have half the team defensive duties in Detroit, that Draymond has - Rodman was not protecting the rim, Rodman was not guarding 4/5s on the regular, Rodman wasn't manning the paint, Rodman was not guarding 3-4 different players on one possession.

The advantage (some might call it unfair) that Draymond has over nearly every single 'team' defender in NBA history is that he's allowed to roam free on the defensive end, without a strict role - due to his ability, coaching, the positionless state the league is in, and the complexity of team offenses. Therefore he's allowed to fulfill MORE duties on defense than 99.9999999999% of players that have played the game. Which is why it's silly to say a past player is a better team defender than him when they didn't do half the shyt he does on that end of the floor.

This thread is disrespectful af to Draymond.

Dray and Kawhi are the 2 best defenders on the planet. Dray one of the best to ever do it at defense. Guy basically plays QB for his team on defense. Watching GSW defend inbounds plays is a thing of beauty. Steve Kerr just standing there with his arms crossed and Draymond telling every player what to watch for, what to defend, where to funnel, and what to keep an eye out for. And he still hustles to every spot to contest every shot. Plays passing lanes extremely well, no fear to D up his own man, and hustles for every loose ball. We saw Dray drop 32 in a Finals Game 7.

What did LO ever do that was that significant? What did LO do that was ever considered "all time great" level? Play 6th man to Kobe, Gasol, and Bynum? With Phil Jackson as the HC? Draymond has done a better job as the 3rd/4th man than Odom did as the 6th man.

Draymond is one of the hardest working players I've seen when it comes to how he performs and plays on the court. It's not just shyttalking and passion he's spewing, dude legit brings A1 effort that very few athletes bring. Odom is regarded as one of the lazier players of his generation. fukk the "smooth" gameplay or whatever aesthetic appeal his game lended itself to, dude was an underachiever who found a great spot in LA and capitalized on it.

Dray busting his ass for max contract and widely considered a top 25 player in the game right now. LO was never that. Never ever that.

L.O. is the better individual talent, Dray is the more impactful basketball player. If I had to pick a forward for my NBA basketball team I'm going Dray all day, if I had to pick one for a pick-up game on 155th and 8th I'd take L.O., it would be dope to see L.O. in the league now though he'd be perfect in the pace and space league. I think Lamar Odom and Robert Horry are tailor made for today.

Dray is an All-Time great defender, that puts him ahead of players who are better at scoring the rock. His wide base, motor, wingspan, attitude, instincts, I.Q., hustle, strength just make him a terror defensively. He is also a great distributor before one of you says "bu bu but he has Steph and Klay", nah son just has great court vision, in the open floor he has underrated speed and ball handling at his size, he's been dropping dimes and getting triple doubles since Michigan State.
