They did the same shyt with Mike. They felt they had to downplay prince and humble him after Purple Rain.
Anyway Pop Life is my shyt...and the album is great..4/5 . Showed Prince could've easily riden the Purole Rain wave for like 2 years more but did a switchup.

I feel like this question was reading my thoughts because I was asking myself the same question. I would say Around the World in a Day is better BUT Parade is lowkey become more appreciated now than it was in its day.
Sometimes it Snows in April is a beautiful song.
But ATWIAD was just this psychadelic masterpiece.
