Sounds like they're keeping kids phones and selling/using them. Which is obviously completely illegal.

Based on the video that doesn't sound anything like what they're doing. They have expendable cheap phones already in stock to lend out in case of emergency if they have to take a students phone.

If it was my kid they'd just have to learn to be without that thousand dollar smartphone for a few weeks

If I pay for a $1000 phone if its outta my kids hands for a week I wouldn't like it. You ever hear of schools hacking kids Facebook pages. Installing spyware. Something is fishy with this idea. It just doesn't sit right to me. Loosing your device which could have your child's personal data is not something to take lightly.

Kids shouldn't be fukkin with a phone in class and I can understand taking it away for the day but if the parent asks for THEIR property back, they need to give it back. That shyt would be a huge problem for me.

If the parents want it back no doubt.

But if a knucklehead wants to use it and the teacher admin says not to, fukk em. Fail em and let em keep it. :birdman:

Take it for a period/class...even till the end of the day. But give it back.

Or how about just not allow phones in schools....... :ohhh:

As a teacher in an NYC public school, they have recently allowed students to bring cellphones into school, but it's up to each individual's schools discretion what rules they're going to come up with surrounding them.
My school has a policy where they can't use phones in the classroom unless there's an emergency of some sort. Otherwise, they're supposed to be on silent or off. Teachers usually confiscate phones for the period or day if a kid doesn't adhere to the rules. Repeat offenders are usually dealt with by the dean who will take their phone and have their parent come up for it. That kid may have their phone privileges revoked. Only the principal ever takes phones for extended periods of time.
Truthfully though, I'm not a fan of phones in the classroom though.

If they don't use it, it's right.

I used to teach to those kids and they keep playing with their phones.

Well at my school if you got caught like 3 times with your phone they kept it for the whole semester and if you didnt get it by a certain time on the last day the principle would give it to his kids and grandkids

Why? If its not bothering anyone why do you care if they text

You're supposed to be paying attention in class, breh breh. And believe it or not, it does bother some students. That ringtone or vibrating annoys kids. Especially in my sped class. :ld:
But moreover, I'm more concerned with what they're texting than who.
If you only knew how many fights and jumping a started over something some texted during class. :wow:
The first time I had to explain to my 50 something year dean what a "thot" was and what "wop". :russ:

In my school days, they would confiscate stuff, but parents were allowed to come and get almost anything. :manny: Send your kids to philly public schools brehs.
