You guys are arguing with someone that asked what does redlining have to do with today. The jig is up. It's wasted effort going back and forth with someone like that.
That's a lie - the argument was that redlining ALONE made baltimore's inner cities look that way; arguing that the crack epidemic and welfare played no parts in that is fundamentally wrong. and I conceded that yes redlining paved the way for those other issues.
We were marching against police brutality, racism, and equal treatment in the 60's....that ain't what's going on now? Explain this difference...
I believe democrats and republicans are not the same from the '60s. They have both moved in opposite directions. Repubs even further than the '60s with the man at the top of their party setting the table for everyone. And the Dems realizing the error of their ways in the past and trying to unite.
