frasier is still the classiest, funniest and most underrated sitcom of all time and I don’t care if any of y’all call it cac shyt. This clip alone shows how far ahead of their time they were with treating a controversial subject matter like homosexuality without offending people and still getting laughs out of it. Fifty years from now when people think it’s acceptable to fukk sheep and get sex changes at five years old, frasier will still be considered tasteful.
To be fair, the argument I’ve seen is that the way they portrayed Kim And Nikki Parker in Moesha and The Parker’s, as both being man-hungry hyper thirsty women, was fatphobic in and of its self. They said that, Fat black women being portrayed as overly man-thirsty to the point of criminality and Boarderline sexual assault is a negative trope against fat black women, just as much as it is an offensive trope, because it makes light of sexual assault and unwanted sexual advances at the hands of hefty sistas. Basically they’re saying, the fatphobic character portrayal of mother and daughter on the respective sitcoms, was just as negative towards fat Black women as it is towards making light of sexual assault towards men. I can’t lie, I kinda see their point. The hefty thirsty chick is a common trope in sitcoms. Even til this day. But I’m still gonna laugh at the many ways Mr.Professa curves Nikki tho.
