P sounds re-energized on these beats.

Naturally I prefer this over Covert Coup simply because Prodigy as an emcee can handle more uptempo energetic loops which makes for a more powerful listening experience.

Currensy is cool but his repetitive subject matter (weed smoking, smoking better weed than me, rolling better weed than me) got me like this :snooze:

Pretty much every ALC release over the past couple years been hot fiya tho I thought Gutta Water was piff too.

Will cop this when the official version drops.

I prefer the beats on Covert Coup, and even though Currensy is repetitive and can get sleepy that was only 27 mins. Perfect length of time for Currensy. Good guest spots too.

:snoop:

Whats the point then.....it's not like he's nice. smh.

Was P talking to him on Bear Meat? :leon:

Twin is cool is small bursts. I think the reason he hasn’t had Al did a whole album for him is b/c he doesn’t wanna impose on their friendship because he knows he has no buzz. Project Kid was like all Sid Roams and Alchemist beats and it did horribly. Maybe something is up though…I’ll listen to Bear meat again.

return of the Mac is NOT a classic.

its a cool album which was supposed to be a mixtape but wasn't all that good.

It’s a classic to me, and by classic I don’t mean I’m saying the shyt is a 5 mic album. It’s a personal classic and one of my favorite albums of the 00’s. I know it was started as a “mixtape” but it really was an album by the time it dropped.

Thats a big claim there and i hope your right because if this is better than ROTM then im in for one hell of a treat!

I got to disagree with you about P on ROTM though. Of course Alc laced that album but P repped on a lot of songs. 7th Heaven, Rotten Apple, The title song, Legends, Mac 10 Handle and Stuck off you ..... just off the top of my head P represented on. P ain't no lyrical genius but his presence is felt so hard on a lot of tracks.

I've been bumping ROTM to keep me calm whilst waiting for the dirty of AE to drop:youngsabo:

its personal preference...even prodigy said that Return of the Mac and ALbert Einstein are concept albums. the concept for return of the mac was 70s blaxploitation movies and it was evident in the sound. personally i prefer the dark and grimey beats over 70s style so Albert Einstein is much "better" to me. but both good.

Disclaimer: I'm an admitted Mobb Deep and Alchemist Stan to the fullest extent...I have purchased everything mobb deep related...even blood money and all Noyd Albums.

I'm a Mobb stan too friend.

By the way man with all this talk of more Queens beef and Bear meat being a diss to Twin or Ty Nitty...last night at the show P shouted out Alchemist after like every joint they did that Al had produced. Hav never said Alchemist's name, and P rapped along with one of Hav's solo joints from 13, but it didn't seem like Hav was rapping at all when prodigu did Give Em Hell. Not that it means anything but it was noticeable to me.

Decided to just publish it anyways. I'll tweak the review later once the dirty version drops.

The Essence of Rap & Hip-Hop: Prodigy and Alchemist - Albert Einstein (Review)

Man, even if you aren't a Domo fan you really need to check No Idols. The production is amazing save 1 joint, and the raps are decent. It's free too. Definitely peep it man. Good review by the way. Only thing I disagree with is I think breeze is one of the top tracks on the album. Other than that I agree with almost everything you said.

Blaxploitation is evident all over ROTM. Thats my type of sh*t, period! But i'm a fiend for any Mobb so im good ...

... AE much better huh. You guys getting me excited for this tho! I know, personal preference and all, but sh*t we all mobb fans in here

That Blood Money tho  you really are a mobb stan! That album was all types of trash in my opinion. In fact it made ROTM all the more hard hitting, following that watered down album!
