Honestly, I heard from some good sources that this wasn't an Alchemist beat. He had already flipped this sample (even the same loop) right around this exact time for another Prodigy song feat. 40 Glock. But I have this on the HNIC 2 Advance. I'll try and get it up on this thread as soon as I can on a lunch break or after work. Even though it's probably not ALC, it's still very dope.

And just because Al flipped it before, I'm not even saying that's why he didn't do it because Al has flipped a bunch of samples multiple times. I'm just saying "I Know" doesn't sound like anything else Al was making in that era.

This is the other ALC jam with the same sample: There's another version with Alchemist rapping on it also called "You Got Got", but it's not out in the open.

That's 100% from return of the Mac and ended up on the deluxe version of HNIC 2.

The Dough, Represent Me, Veteran's Memorial Part 2, and Dirty New Yorker were all recorded during the Return of the Mac sessions. Prodigy wanted more pure loops and ALC wanted more soul chops. They struck a balance and they decided to leave these over for HNIC 2. I personally took off the skits (tracks 7 and 9) off my ROTM and replaced them with The Dough and Represent Me.

It is what it is man. Some people can't accept that he switched to a thugged out spoken word style of rapping. I can't blame anyone for not being able to enjoy Prodigy post 2000.

I have to be in the right mood. I personally think he's made some dope music, like Return of the Mac and Product of the 80's for example. I think this will be good too. Different strokes. Some people will enjoy Alchemist and prodigy together no matter what.

Yeah. I personally LOVED the high points of HNIC 2. Young veterans bring the illest...I legit sing along word for word to that one.

P is zombie rap now but oddly is still kinda captivating. I'd like to see how e fares over quicker beats though. I kinda think he should avoid Sid Roams for a minute.
