No you are right Ev is nice now. His flow is much better now. He's been consistently getting better since the last dilated album IMO. He used to sound robotic on early dilated albums but now he's one of my favorite MC's

edit: you know what, I re-listened real quick and those sound nice. LMDKV is exactly what I was missing from Al. Maybe its the lo-fidelity of these snippets that has me thinking the final beats will sound the same. Could be wrong there.

Yea I think we are in the exact same boat. I'm starting to get a little tired of some of these loops. That's why I liked 360 waves. Lotta harder beats on there. Yasir Arafat. Funyons. Trailer mix. Etc.

I miss those harder chopped up ones too.

I agree verbatim with White Mike on the evolution of Ev. Both on the mic and boards. I used to almost hate him in the Dilated era...now he's strangely morphed into one of the most trustworthy names in the biz. All three of his solo albums have been stellar.
