It can work in several ways, they can be extorting them or their business, they can be genuine friends with them, or they might like suck ups and like bullying people/being the boss, or the person might have money or connections, it's varied. But whoever said gangstas only hang around non pussies is wrong. There's some people that are straight p*ssy that hang around G's and are fronting and they are trying to fit in and are not really built like that. Sometimes they are tolerated for all different kinds of reasons. This is a general point by the way, not talking about P.
In regards to P. It's because of who his family were and cause he had a bit of money as a kid. Also from being cool with Hav who actually did have some respect. P was also eager to fit in and please, he had a desire to be accepted.

All of that was probably true. Noyd was notoriously unreliable as I recall. Hav probably did say that - it would fit with what other posters are saying about how he approached Lake and them.
P obviously cared to some degree - I wouldn't be surprised if he left GOD there - remember P was performing that night - he didn't have time to deal with the situation I'd imagine.
Also - if this happened in 99 at the Murda Muzik release party - and Lake had come home a few weeks prior (as I understood it) why was P on the 41st compilation? And why was this bed basically unknown for like 5 years?
I can see how what you're saying about Lake makes sense. But I could also see it going the opposite. Strong dude robs weak dude. Weak dude runs his mouth to people about what he's gonna do to strong dude. Strong dude beats him down again (as opposed to strong dude records mixtapes and does DVDs about weak dude).

I think this is true for the most part. Especially since we've seen him take L's and go right back to talking shyt. The things that would most people in his position would find to be highly embarrassing don't affect him in the same way.
