Prodigy vs Lupe Fiasco (Poll Reopened)

Lupe is an immense talent - but its never translated into a classic album. P was the star of the show on back to back classic albums. Then he had a run of features where he spazzed. Then he dropped a 4.5 mic album.
His solo career is basically as good as Lupe's.
HNIC, Return of the Mac and Albert Einstein are as good as any three Lupe albums.

The cool and F&L are classics imo. I don't get how cats are trying to compare a group album and compare it to a solo artist

How can you give prodigy credit for a group song and compare it to a solo artist? And breh, what do you mean by , "he's primarily part of a group"

I mean he got his start in a group before he went solo. He's mostly known for the group work. I don't see why you couldn't give him credit, he's spitting on there.

Borderline at best. Certainly not classic in the way an album like the Infamous is...

Food & Liquor and The Cool are worthy of Classic status by 2000s standards.

The Infamous is top 5 all time.

Let me be clear, I'm not sayin that P ain't nice. I own the entire MD catalogue and HNIC. But let's be real, a huge part of why those albums were so dope was because of Havs production and Alcs production. Hav was decent on the mic too.

No doubt. The real person you need to mention is Q-Tip. But any classic album is gonna have great production. That's part of what holds Lupe back.
Hav is sorely underrated.
