I'll be voting for her but her chances as already stated are slim. Bredensen was a well liked Governor when he was in office how many years ago and couldn't even beat Marsha Blackburn with the reputation. She has even a bigger uphill battle.
That’s true. But if they want progressive issues implemented and not just talked, they will have to go into the areas the Dems can’t win in.That's not the reason why. Just like I said, I think they have much more success running in traditionally Democratic leaning places as of right now.
Now, I shouldn't deal in absolutes but this is just from what I've seen so far.
NAH. fukk the goalpost moving, if they want progressive causes implemented they just need more progressives in office, even if it comes via replacing safe demsThat’s true. But if they want progressive issues implemented and not just talked, they will have to go into the areas the Dems can’t win in.
Eventually you might find the right combination of weak conservative opponent and right progressive message/face.
If potential voters think no one cares then they definitely won’t.

if anything this disproves the necessity of running Republicrats in competitive/red states. Even red state dems chose progressivesNAH. fukk the goalpost moving, if they want progressive causes implemented they just need more progressives in office, even if it comes via replacing safe dems
A normal person or republican sees a dem as a dem, there is no "progressives, neoliberals, far left" etc. They just see the party.
There isn't any reason we shouldn't be running the best dem representatives in the general, even in "hopeless" races like these. All these shytty establishment dems do is run the party's name in the dirt.
So I salute ms Bradshaw on her big win for the cause.if anything this disproves the necessity of running Republicrats in competitive/red states. Even red state dems chose progressives
