That’s a long answer but here’s my take in a nutshell
If one wanted to rule the world —or the US—-it wouldn’t come by force it’d come by legal and logistical power. There’s a hundred government agencies and in theory you’d want to run all of them and be able to weaponize them. Want to get back at your enemies and tap their phone? Run NSA and you can do it legally. Want to steal people’s land and use imminent domain? Run HUD and do it easily. Want to launder money, run treasury. Etc.
Everything I just said, OPM is the hiring body for all of that. The heads of these agencies are appointed but the rank and file majority are all hired. Historically OPM has been apolitical. Well now it’s not. So Trump is going to FLOOD the government with his folk unchecked. The agency heads who are appointed have no clue what they’re doing——ie Kash Patel FBI Director—so that means the OPM-hired rank and file are going to have a ton more power and unsupervised discretion which means we’re 100x closer to racism having power and extensive platforms, unchecked
And most importantly, some may think ‘oh well, I don’t work for the govt’. But 1) you’re still under the umbrella of the dept of labor and a lot of checks and balances you take for granted will be erased. Ie even tho brehs could be hired on merit, they still benefit from NOT being discriminated against. That is no longer a guarantee. 2) This will trickle into the private sector, as we saw a bunch of companies bend the knee regarding DEI. The same way private sector companies were afraid to piss off gays and it dictated their policies, private companies will be afraid to piss off trump. They will become racist entities themselves
