my decision to cop is based on how much i like the album. for example, i d/led cole's born slumber because i thought it was cool but i haven't listened to it since. I however bought two copies of control system, two copies of welcome to our house, a copy of ESGN, two copies of MNIMN, a copy of NWTS and both clipse albums.

My CD collection is growing every month. I may not have the quantity that some dudes on here have but I know for w fact that I've got some rare limited edition/out of print stuff that would make guys jealous :jawalrus:

try me too!

it's sad though, because as big as my cd collection is, i hardly play any of them sh1ts anymore. i play everything via usb sticks or the notebook, physical cd's just stay gathering dust

technology done killed the cd, when they started implementing usb ports in cd players it was a wrap

My head unit plays USB's and CD's but I still use CD's 90% of the time, albums just bump a lot harder, and if I've paid for good sounds why skimp on the thing that's gonna make it all worthwhile.

It's like spending a few grand on a 3D TV, Surround Sound etc, then watching a Cam rip. shyt kind of defeats the purpose to me :yeshrug:

well i usually rip at 320kbps so in terms of sound quality the difference is kinda negligible. and there's always the flac format. i just find it easier to just have a hard drive full of sh1t so i can just play whatever i want to hear in that split second i wanna hear it. and full albums get played in whip for proper review

There's a few that I'll support and buy, but unless I have a scheduling conflict, I'll definitely go see someone live in concert.

Only physical medium I buy anymore is vinyl, but that's all old stuff. I don't have the desire for CD's anymore. :manny:

I've been buying CDs since the early 90s.

A lot of my CDs are still in the wrapper, shyt it was only last week I stumbled across my strong arm steady arms and hammers album from like 2 years ago unopened.

I don't just blind purchase many people's albums anymore though, not like I use to. Only nas probably I will purchase regardless....maybe a few other cats.

I've slowed down a lot purchasing over the years though, I prob average about 10 a year depending on the artist / quality of music.

This year I've purchased:

12 reasons to die
Albert Einstein
360 waves
Born sinner
3chordfold
My name is my name
A place called Loveland

I really want to support PWOWR but soul temple are fukkery

Would have purchased nip hussles mix tape if it wasn't $100:sadcam:

All them years when I used to get charged £20 for imports are long gone though. Back in the day they ripped the shyt out of us

So besides the OP, no one actually posted any proof of purchase :heh:

Well my thread wasn't just about posting pics that would just be a good gesture from board members to participate.

I was more so getting at folks who Stan so much but never support.

There is a ton of them out there.

Yea my Drake my man k.dot but have you purchased their albums :usure:

Like do you believe all the stans in that Drake thread bought the album?

Random but that pic made me instantly smile.

Not because you participated but just looking through the albums I had quick flash backs of times in my life.

Nas, luda and the dmx caught my eyes right away.

Dmx took me to HS when my boy put me on.

We were in the hall way I'm going to ball practice.

I'm calling his name he isn't hearing me had some big Sony headphones on.

I tapped him like nikka.

He like my bad shyt this new x is :wow:
