So you pass this John Lewis act and get CRT taught in school. You actually think white people will accept you afterwards? Seriously asking..
Its not about acceptance .

If you don't teach real history , these kids who will later be adults will deny that slavery ever happened or that it wasn't as brutal as people make it sound.
shyt like this has already been happening in Texas, by changing the term slavery to indentured servitude.

Bill 781? The one this article is based on ?

This bill doesn't contain anything else except teachers possibly being charge with a misdemeanor, unless im reading the wrong thing.

So when this bill passes and it gives the right for illegal immigrants to vote where I live, making them a majority.. What the fck are black people supposed to do when we're no longer the determining factor in electing a public official? White politicians always came to the black community bargaining for votes, because our vote was the determining factor.. This bill will dilute that..

I know you're a yes sir boss a$$ nikka.. But if your pea brain can think of a solution to this issue, id like to hear it..
The John Lewis Voting Rights Act has nothing in it about giving undocumented people the right to vote.

The John Lewis Voting Rights Act is a very narrow bill that basically looks to re-instate parts of the 1965 Voting rights Act that The Supreme Court struck down in 2013. Most importantly it looks to re-instate preclearance which means states would have to get any new voting laws reviewed by the Justice Department to make sure they weren't discriminating against minorities.

You might be confusing The John Lewis bill with The For The People Act or The Freedom to Vote Act (the version of the For The People Act that Joe Manchin helped put together because he was against the For The People Act) which are both much broader voting rights legislation but even they don't include giving the undocumented the right to vote.

Republicans jumped on the provision in those acts that would institute Automatic Voter Registration by claiming it would automatically register the undocumented which was a blatant lie to try and get their voters angry about the bill(s).

So you are mad about something that doesn't exist in either of the federal voting rights bills that Democrats have been trying to pass.

Its in the John Lewis act where illegal immigrants will be able to vote in municipal elections nationwide.. Republicans in each state fighting this too because they believe mexicans can help flip them southern states blue..

HOWEVER by doing so, you then turn the power of the black vote into a 2nd fiddle to the latino vote.. This the same bill the black New York mayor wouldn't push back against..

People are seriously not thinking this out.. John Lewis would've never took rocks upside the head for the right to vote only to have his vote lose value.. That makes no sense. Especially in local elections..

I consider myself a liberal and even i dont agree with immigrants being able to vote, but that's a different bill that has nothing to do with the bill this thread is about.

This bill right here is a local Virginia bill. I think we can both disagree with this bill , and parts of the John Lewis act.

Good. Teachers need to teach from the curriculum that is approved by the school board. Keep that politics shyt the fukk outta the class room.
nikkas is so fukking dumb for not realizing that these weirdo white liberals, and bougie blacks with sociology degrees that are insecure about their blackness are using black issues as a Trojan horse to introducing a lot of fukk shyt that is determental to kids.
Teach to the curriculum and leave that "social justice" bullshyt out of the classroom.

If I say "Black people have been oppressed"

is that a true statement?

If I say "White males are at the bottom of society?"

Is that a true statement.

Whichever one is true, that's the one you're allowed to say.

Social justice. You better be happy that there's social justice. (this next bit assume a that you're Black) what if you took your family member out for a birthday dinner with a party of 10. And the wait staff sees that you're Black so they don't want to serve you. What if you watched white people get sat and served for 45 minutes while the wait staff ignored you?

Would you desire to be treated the same as other patrons? Or would you be happy inside that Social Justice took an L that day. Your family being made to wait in hopes that you give up and leave is a good thing right? Cause if there were social justice you'd be able to post a video shaming them. And other people might take up your cause.

If you're a white person just trying to agitate then what you're writing makes sense
