Don’t do any deals that let them put a lien on your house.

in GA, you can't be 100% completely off the grid with your solar panels as they want the power company for "backup". Out in the woods you can do something I guess.
I just got into a contract with one
But I did investigate the company.. A+ reviews across the board and people on my neighborhood already have had them installed.
Basically what has convinced me is that the cost of electricity is going to go up everywhere now (especially with data centers like the one down the street from my spot now).
They’re basically saying my bill for the next 30 years is going to hover around $108.00.. never above that. $160.00 if I include a battery (which I can add on later).
I actually started going forward with it. My electricity bill for the past month was just below $200 and it’s just me living there alone. My roof is also less than a year old so I’ve been trying to find people to bounce the idea off of but no one I know has ever dealt with Solar.
The panels are the newer kind, virtually indestructible, and easier to maintenance. Been looking for a reason not to install it.
exactly. That's how it is in Florida too.
And if im not mistaken, its often advertised that you'd be able to sell surplus energy to the power company but no one has ever enjoyed that benefit.
You don't technically sell the surplus energy anymore. In the past with net metering, you meter used to spin backwards making the utility company having to pay you... now with the energy you give back, they give you a dollar credit to use and I believe there is a monthly capThat's how it is in Florida too.
