Imagine a 'legitimately', democratically elected candidate refused office after winning a general election. It directly contravenes the will of the people and would show that they are powerless in democratic process. You think people are protesting now? You'd see armed revolts from all sorts of far-right militias. Not happening..not if they want to see civil war break out.

its not right, but heres the thing. the higher up you get in washington....they're all in the same club. none of these washington criminals want a nationwide popular vote election that they cant manipulate. so dont buy into this because hillary lost this time :yeshrug: they might put on a show, but look at how the democrats run their primary

if they have such a problem with this, then why doesnt the democrats get rid of super-delegates on their own soil? :sas2:

:wow:....

Knew this was coming. White ppl don't take their L's lying down. They know there are always laws and loopholes, usually set aside for disenfranchising minorities, that they can use.

Won't happen.

Even if they were to encourage an elector to go "faithless". The results would still need to be accepted by Congress, which to my recollection will have a Republican majority on January 6th. They'd just veto the College decision and Trump would still be President.

This crap system gives to much power to small states. Its unfair to the majority of the population in aMerikkka. I'm tired of hearing this bullshyt that it's not fair to low population states. Where I live doesn't change who I vote for. I vote for who I want to. It's my vote fukk you if you disagree.

It should be one vote one person. Who ever has the most wins. Every other race in aMerikkka is solved that way. And no I don't give a fukk which one of these silly fukk candidates won. Both were trash. I voted for Bernie. He's who I wanted. He is who I voted for. Even if they don't count my write in vote. Bernie should have just ran independent. I would rather him have a chance to win as opposed to sitting out and have zero chance cause either way with thwse two we were fukked.

Yes. This is a possible thing, although unlikely.

Why the electoral College

"Hamilton and the other founders believed that the electors would be able to insure that only a qualified person becomes President. They believed that with the Electoral College no one would be able to manipulate the citizenry. It would act as check on an electorate that might be duped. Hamilton and the other founders did not trust the population to make the right choice. The founders also believed that the Electoral College had the advantage of being a group that met only once and thus could not be manipulated over time by foreign governments or others."

This is stupid.

He won it fair and square. He's a POS but this is how it's done, his base came out for him and Dems didn't for Clinton.

There better not be Jill, Johnson voters or more than 40%+ of the population who didn't vote in those signatures. When it mattered you abstained.

:snoop: Take the L and prepare for 2018/2020.

That's the thing. If Dems want to scrap EC then win in all levels of government. Simple as that.

For now republicans will never scrap it, they dont get much of the popular vote in elections but have a chance to win the WH with EC.
