Dallas, Texas but living in Houston, Texas
This is stupid.

He won it fair and square. He's a POS but this is how it's done, his base came out for him and Dems didn't for Clinton.

There better not be Jill, Johnson voters or more than 40%+ of the population who didn't vote in those signatures. When it mattered you abstained.

:snoop: Take the L and prepare for 2018/2020.

That's the thing. If Dems want to scrap EC then win in all levels of government. Simple as that.

For now republicans will never scrap it, they dont get much of the popular vote in elections but have a chance to win the WH with EC.
Even if the Democrats controlled the white house and both houses of Congress they wouldn't get rid of the electoral college just like they wouldn't back term limits. We live in a fukking oligarchy :francis:

Right!! I didnt give a fukk about Hillary or Donald. Still, a side of me is ecstatic seeing these celebrities beside themselves. I'd love to get close enough to Alicia Keys just to gloat in her face and beat her husband's azz if he gets out of line.

Anybody heard of this law before?

Its a law in the semse that a few states have laws in place that allow their electors to not have to side with the majority of the people in their respective states.

They really want that mega-fukkery...:snoop:
From what I learned in government class, the electoral college was set up so the electors could vote however they want...It's just always been customary that they vote with their state

Yes. This is a possible thing, although unlikely.

Why the electoral College

"Hamilton and the other founders believed that the electors would be able to insure that only a qualified person becomes President. They believed that with the Electoral College no one would be able to manipulate the citizenry. It would act as check on an electorate that might be duped. Hamilton and the other founders did not trust the population to make the right choice. The founders also believed that the Electoral College had the advantage of being a group that met only once and thus could not be manipulated over time by foreign governments or others."

The Set
The professor that predicted all of the presidencies and called Trump. Also predicts he will be impeached in favor of Pence... Not that it ever mattered, but I don't even care anymore. They gonna do what they want. I'm gonna do me.

True. :yeshrug:

But dems are easily capable of getting the popular vote consistently.

Just logical that's all. :manny:

don't know what your'e inferring here, can you elaborate?
Breh, it's the UNITED STATES of America, they all need to be included in the voting process and the electoral college, while imperfect, needs to exist in at least some form to make that happen. If you're saying it needs to be tweaked, cool. But a popular vote is not feasible.

Yea I understand your point, which is valid.

I still feel it's not fair and it mathematically gives someone more voting power than someone else, that to me isn't democratic.
As for a tweak, I think the popular vote should mean something and should have a merit on the election.
