Thats the guy I want.. ut I am also scared he may be like Phil Savage who was Ossie right hand man and went to Cleveland and screwed that up. DeCosta has refused to interview with anyone the past couple of years. I bet he is getting paid like a GM.Hoenstly i would like an Offensive coach. Adam Gaze or a Pep Hamilton.

another candidate for GM what about Eliot Wolf ROn's kid pro personnel director at the Packers. only 32 though

Looking at the talent on defense we are really taking for granted the job Rex did with that unit...

Outside of the DL and Davis the talent level is borderline average...

We're ok at safety, Pryor I think will pan out and Allen/Landry are serviceable...

As far as CB, Milliner will never stay healthy and is not a top 10 talent at the position...Maybe McDougle maybe pans out but we need a lot of help at this position as well as LB...

He has a very close relationship with the the Vikings GM Spielman...

They worked together in Chicago, Miami and Minny...

DeCosta likewise has a very close relationship with Ozzie and the Ravens...That GM job is his if Ozzie decides to step aside...

Yeah, he's a Spielman disciple. Which isn't the best thing because Spielman is so inconsistent.

True, but how long is he willing to wait until Ozzie steps down? I don't see Newsome leaving anytime soon. It also helps that DeCosta is getting paid like an actual GM, so there's no real incentive for him to leave (at least from a monetary standpoint anyways)
