It does hurt the jets. The cap space wasted on that player would mean we cant roll over the space into next years cap to be put to better use.


Like signing a good free agent next season when we have a much clearer idea of what kind of team we have.



Idzik is trying to build something not satisfy a bunch of armchair GMs.

The money we dont spend now gets added to our cap next season.



You dont spend just to spend.



If idzik went out and over paid for drc and he under performs you would be bytching he over paid for him.

The jets same olded themselves into problems by overspending on free agents that hurt the rest of the team? That's the jets history? Bs

And calling signing a DB currently more serviceable than any on our roster simply "spending just to spend" is dishonest

There isnt much out there though. We are rebuilding.



Im sure we will be picking up a couple veteran cbs after cuts happen.


He brought in a guy like decker to help geno. He signed a veteran cb and drafter another. No team in the nfl is perfect in every unit.



And lets be real. If we didnt get hit with so many injuries in the secondary there isnt really a discussion. I was looking forward to seeing mcdougle.

well hopefully somebody decent gets cut somewhere else. its gonna be frustrating watching us on defense this season

The debate about whether we should have spent or saved can go on forever. Looking forward though, who's out there at CB that we can pick up?

Also, as bad as Hill was, would it have hurt to have carried him into the season? He could have done something.

Hill cant play in the league. He's not good enough imo
