I like Amaro. I think he has potential to be a very good pass catching TE. He had a few drops this season, but other than that, he's been solid.

i think amaro can still be good. he's a strong kid just lacks technique from what i can tell. cumberland is just weak as fukk. he seems more like a fat wide receiver at this point.
Amaro just has weak instincts imo...isnt a great athlete either for a guy who was billed as a "pass catching" tight end. He needs to become a better blocker to become a good player...because he's not a good enough athlete to just line up in the slot and expect him to win.
yea ill give u that, he doesnt look very athletic. traditionally tight ends arent tho. its hard to find the jimmy grahams and antonio gates of the world. if amaro can learn to be at least a decent blocker and not drop passes he can be a solid TE.

Bullshyt. I wasn't a fan until I saw tape of this dude lined up at the slot @Trip obviously hasn't watched. This dudes footwork is remarkable for such a big guy when spread out. I'm honestly surprised because I didn't expect it. I'll put up an all-22 vine in a second.

Did they though? He was pretty impressive going into the draft. What did you see that would have turned you off from drafting him?
I thought overall this tight end class was weak...and he wasn't enough of a standout to take him that early....this was a very talented first round. But the Lions had a strong enough roster where they could afford a luxury pick I guess.
But with Suh probably leaving Donald was a better pick for them imo

I"ve given up arguing for amaro right now. People are seeing what they want to see. The kid looks good with loads of potential. Been saying it the whole time. Sucks he had an injury but seemed like Vick was never looking his way anyway when vick was playing. He was on pace for 60+ catches until vick got the nod. Then vick would scramble when amaro was consistently open. Amaros the only guy who can consistently get open. And hes already a better blocker than cumberland
