Yeah I'm buggin. I completely forgot that I've played emulator games on my MacBook pro with a DS4 wirelessly.
Does it work the same way with remote play?
Because he was asking if it does. The work around you were talking about isn't a great solution.
I don't think so I can't try it. I mean if you're in the same house and not too far away I guess it's a good workaround since it'll work fine. Only time it messes up is if you hit the PS button
When my wife is using the TV and I want to play PS4, I grab the remote, change the input to PS4, sit down and start playing, but these are things only an alpha male elite gamer can do.
But for real its a dope feature and I can see myself using it for the same exact reasons. It never really worked well for me through the PSTV or the VITA. This PC remote play has been great. I was playing the division last night on my MacBook from my bed room.
If anyone is having problems with their controller not responding to the remote play you have to do this
Go to your device manager with your controller unplugged.
Plug your controller in.
At the bottom of your device manager you should see an entry for where the system recognized the controller. If you don't keep trying until you find it. For me it was below my usb devices. I'm using Windows 8.
After you find it expand and delete the entry. It will say wireless controller. MAKE SURE YOU CHECK THE BOX TO DELETE THE SOFTWARE WITH THE DEVICE. Only Deleting from devices and printers will not solve this issue.
Unplug and plug the controller back In.
New drivers will be installed.
It should work now

Joint was straight plug and play on my mac book and my imac. Glad you posted a step by step tutorial for the less fortunate.
Some people have used 3Rd party drivers or apps to use their controllers on their pc. The drivers have to be deleted from device manager

Has anyone checked to see if PS4 headsets and party chat works via remote play?
I didn't try it yet, but if I just plug in my headset into the controller it should still work right?

This shyt is random. Today suddenly remote play is flawless. No choppyness or random pauses like the other day. It looks good in window mode too.
