You don't get the HDD for that price, you have to buy it separately. It's a box that allows you to use a 6tb HDD with your PS4 and still utilize rest mode.

I been looking at that Nyko shyt too cause I got like 5 games installed on my stock 500GB PS4 and it's full already 
I have a 2TB that I can rip the internals out and replace the PS4 stock HDD but I still feel like it won't be enough. I remember my first PS2 memory card was Nyko brand. That yellow one with 8MB!!!
And that was all the memory we needed for all the games, Lawd!

Brehs, it's just an enclosure. The 6TB in the name of the device is just marketing. A 6TB drive all run you over $250 currently..probably even more than that..
You can put whatever size drive in it. If you had an 8TB drive it's likely work as well

Larger drives may work, but the issue is will they cause the PS4 to crash and will it work with the rest mode function. The list the 6TB to let you know how much memory is stable. Nyko was selling ducktales, because although you can put higher drives in there, the shyt wasn't fully stable/functional past 2TB.

I feel you. I doubt itd crash tho. If that was the case the OS would likely be coded to just reject the drive

You really can't future proof your ps4. the only upgrade you can do is add more storage which you are doing and there is nothing wrong with that. I never knew the games were that big though. ps3 games are usually like 2-10 gbs.

I think XB1 and PS4 games are larger in install size on average though.
I agree though, 6TB is overkill on consoles.

2tb is enough imo.
Just keep u a core 10 games that u play. It's no reason to have every COD, 2K, or single players games u beat on ur HD. Keep ur saves just get rid of the install
