Yesterday’s release of the PS4 2.0 firmware update, also known as “Masamune,” contained one of my most-wanted features: the ability to game with my own music in the background. The only kicker is that, at least for now, the music must be stored on an external USB drive.

If you’re like me, that could mean a music selection hampered by the available space on your only drive. And if you’re really like me, the USB stick itself may not even fit into any of the available slots!

Fortunately, there is a method for using your trusty old iPod to fulfill those auditory desires. First, plug your iPod into any compatible PC/Mac/Linux device and navigate to the root (base) directory of your device. Create a folder titled ‘MUSIC’ (that’s case-sensitive), dump all your favorite jams in there, and then connect the iPod to your PS4.

Yall dont sleep in this i just did it very very very very easily .

JUst plugged my old dusty ass 80gb ipod classic to my pc. Made a folder called MUSIC with all of the main root folders then moved all the albums and bam shyt showed up on my ps4.

EVen doe i have a flash drive i have mad music on this classic that i havent listen to in years.

Mine shut down completely when I put it in Rest Mode earlier...

I went to turn it on and I noticed the yellow bar wasn't lit up. Had to unplug the power cord and reconnect it. It was good after that

Having to do the same shyt. I forgot I put it in rest mode again last night. I'm staring at the yellow light flickering now.

I'll just shut it down completely until they fix this rest mode bug.

Make sure you turn off that auto sleep shyt too. Because I left my PS4 on to download a game. Wake up to bubbling yellow light. Had to reset it.

Game updates/patches/system updates will download and install in rest mode. So while you are at work or sleeping you don't have to wait till you get home to download the latest patch or dlc, etc.

You can even download games to your system from your phone or pc/tablet while you are away and the system is in rest mode. Done that many times.

I'm about to.

Problem is I need a game above 40 bucks to get the 30 dollar Gamers club. I heard you can do preorders, but I don't want to lose out on getting a 10 dollar gift card for peordering some games as well (COD:AW). I know when you preorder it online (don't even have to be a gamers club member, but a basic gamer member), you'll get a 10 dollar card. But I gotta see if you preorder in the store if you will still get the 10 dollar gift card as well. That's 50 bucks for COD:AW in essence plus I got a 10 dollar gift card for preordering 2k15. I also heard that the Gamers Club unlocked purchase will take 20% off the game you buy to get the offer at 30 so you saving even more. And Best Buy also gives more money for used games as well.
