PS4 stans "i mean... what if i dont have internet for a month..i wont be able to play my game? thats ridiculous. I hope xbox loses the sales war because of this."

The word was already out that this wasnt something coming from either console's offices. It was coming directly from the developers themselves. but nooooooo, stan a console instead of paying attention to reality.

Anyone has the sales figures for 2k15 for both systems?
Anyone in here with a PS4 willing to admit that 2k15 is an "ALWAYS ONLINE" game? meaning if their servers are down the game doesnt work Even with single player modes? I know this is the case because i'm playing it on XBOX. any time or moment the server is down(was down for hours after that first patch this friday) i could not play MyCareer( a purely single player mode). They have you locked into being always online because their VC(in game money) is connected to the game and connected to real money you probably will end up spending to get more VC.

This didnt come from M$ it didnt come from Sony it came from the Devs of 2k15. So all that going crazy was all for not. Now sure some of you will say "oh well at least WE..won the war" Who's WE? iS sony's online setup as solid as Xbox live? NOPE. so think about this for a moment. sony's online isnt and never has been as good as live with MS as competition. what the hell do you think they are going to do to fix things if there isnt any competition(cause you sony fanboys would love to see M$ disappear...or so you think.)

Think about this for a moment. all or just about all of your games or at least the big games that everyone plays will be locked in as DRM-esk games. on a console that doesnt have a A quality online setup. pretty messed up dont you think? or will we ignore this to get back to Stanning?

the only difference between MS and Sony is that MS was going to do this with their 1st party games and Sony wasnt. third parties can still do whatever they want on both consoles so im not sure why ppl think the ps4 is the freedom train

Individual devs/publishers can't make it happen on their own. They need the support of platform holders, retail, etc. to make it happen.

No they weren't. If I wanted to play a game completely offline, I couldn't.

There's nothing to look up. The infastructure isn't there for one publisher to do it. It would have to be a industry wide change.

There's a big difference between mandating it from a system level than from a game to game bases. If a dev didn't want people to have to have a internet connection to play a single player game than why should it be a requirement?

With a time limit. This is limiting your choices. If I don't want to connect to the internet for a few days, I shouldn't have to just to play the system I just spent money on

I KNOW THIS. but how many people over stanning sony didnt realize this? a few xbots stated this very thing when it first came out. that sony was allowing devs to do this. Sony stans as usual Ignored it and some even lied and said "thats not what they mean" and went all in on M$ as usual. Like someone above stated. the reality is here whether we like it or not. Online aint going anywhere. downloading games is the new wave too. gaming online isnt all of it. now its microtransactions and these always connected experiences aka DRM aka ALWAYS ONLINE. Does it really matter if a console gives devs the ability to do this and most big named companies with your favorite games ends up doing this? does it matter to you WHO intitiated the DRM? HELL NO. its DRM. if you were so up in arms about it back when these consoles dropped. be up in arms right now with these DEVS then. but you're not. Why not? I think we know why not. as long as your console is winning the stanning war nothing else matters. even if it effects you negatively.

Games were able to be traded/sold/shared both physically and digitally. And as I said you've been on here every day for the past year. A 24hour check in is not a limitation for the overwhelming majority of gamers.

makes sense and thats your choice. but 2k just said you aint playing our game unless you're connected online. So lets assume for arguments sake you're one of the millions who have or will purchase 2k15. you will be stuck in a DRM system via the DEVELOPERS from 2k. not sony, not xbox. but the devs. at the end of the day YOU... CANT...PLAY... GAMES...WITHOUT BEING ONLINE. and thats against what you believed in is it not?
