Every console except for the Wii-U had shortage issues. I can assure you that the ps4 will not only be limited. Its likely not to launch in the US til 2014. Even if they tell you that much today, its not launching in the US this year. They have to sell that dream in there own minds so that gamers don't hop on xbox's bandwagon. At best there will be less than a million units ready for the US this year. But thats wishful thinking...

1.) PS4 wasn't even ready to be revealed recently
2.) They unexpectedly out the blue decided to add an emergency 4gb extra of the most expensive component in the PS4 (the GDDR5 ram)
3.) There has been NO MENTION of PSN, just that they'll have more at a later time. Its not ready yet bruh, it would of leaked that they was doing stuff
1+2+3= PS4 in 2014. Launching 100,000 or so systems isn't really a launch, but that will be good enough for the fanboys
Only way it launches this year is if they choose America over Japan which they never done before
