I actually think that is exactly what they are going to do.

New generation and allow ALL older xbox games to be playable via backwards compatibility.

I know this isn't what you guys like to hear, but Sony might have a big problem if Microsoft plays this right.
Yeah I'm sure they'll have a HUGE problem. Disregard the fact that Microsoft said no one left behind brehs publicly at E3. you know darn well the PR would be disastrous. that'd mean exclusive games. No one is going to entertain the fact that their "4K" Xbox One s can't play Halo 6.

It sounds like you really haven't been paying attention since Spencer took over.

Microsoft's biggest problem is securing "exclusive" games, but they have made some great strides on the XBOX-PC integration in the past fews years and Gabe Newell's fears are damn near knocking on the door after they fukked up steam machines.

Stay in your PlayStation bubble as much as you want, but being objective and paying attention to where the market is going will help you. Microsoft's target is not PlayStation, it's STEAM. I have been saying this for a while now.

I don't see what any of this have to do with the first comment. You just went from Sony being in trouble and the Scorpio being a threat to Sony is not the target but steam? What? lol

I don't think Steam machines are anyway or were going to be a blip on the PC market. It seems like you think PC gamers are about to drop Steam/building and get a Scorpio which imo is ridiculous. you know for sure there's way more to why Steam has the game on lock right now. Windows 10 store is NOWHERE near Steam on that level. Come on this sounds like a fantasy. Maybe in 3 years they'll get better but they have so much to do before anyone "dumps" Steam. Sounds like you're sipping some good Microsoft kool-aid lol.

I know you read this and hoped for the best.

I am just looking at what has the best plan going forward and that is not Sony from what I see. No...PC builders will continue to build. But drop steam? The steam machines have been an absolute failure into trying to capture that market that Microsoft is trying to get into. It will be a tough uphill battle, but a conversation to be had.

As far as Sony is concerned, yes IT IS a problem because the XBOX is a console brand that gamers are familiar with. What Microsoft is trying to do is bridge that gap...cross platform play with numbers that straight up dwarf the console market. Potentially larger online player pool across the board etc etc. I keep trying to straighten the thinking out on this forum, but you guys refuse to pay attention. Take a game like RTCW which is ancient, STILL had an active community until a few years ago. That is simply impossible on consoles without PC integration.

I would hope that you can see it...I mean it's so damn obvious. In fact, a PlayStation "console exclusive" is showing what the future will likely hold for online multiplayer and 3rd party games. Street Fighter V had a rocky launch, but it is great to be able to fight against PS4 and PC players as well. Microsoft will have the advantage because it will be baked into Windows 10 (Or Windows 11 etc) from the jump...something that Sony does NOT have.

You remember when Gabe Newell was so mad at Microsoft a few years ago and decided to go and develop an operating system? We are seeing the potential problems for steam now. The numbers won't show it because Microsoft is still rolling this out, but the threat is real.

I did not read that, but it's been clear for years. Any person who is paying attention could have written that back in 2013-2014. He is just stating the obvious.

Nothing new.

TYRONE GA!
They haven't officially announced anything who say's they can't do that

they've already said that multiple times fam. There will be no exclusive games for Scorpio.

No gamer will be left behind according to Greenburg

Project Scorpio won't have any exclusives

The Xbox boss also reiterated that "there won't be Scorpio exclusive console games. Absolutely not." Project Scorpio is releasing during Holiday 2017"

that's from the head man himself.

2018 is far too soon. Maybe 2020/2021 would be more logical :ld:

sony will probably reveal or announce the ps5 in 2018 and release it in 2019/2020. not a bad move by sony. i like that they're being proactive and creating new systems for hardcore gamers and casuals. this might be a move to keep up with their PSVR2 since it'll be a good time to upgrade their headset as well:jbhmm:

man i hope nintendo reveals the NX by october at the latest. anything later than that and i doubt they'll hit their original release date of march 2017:mjcry:

Traditional console cycles are dead and the best able to scale across multiple platforms will be the winner.

Sony should consider a PlayStation store and throw exclusives onto the PC as well.

This is easy elementary level stuff.

you reading this shyt :wtf: I think the worst I ever gamed on was 7ms..

game on a 144 hz 1ms monitor now :wow:

G2G response times are different than the actual input lag, but most top monitors are under 10ms or max out in the teens for input lag.

But my God, 50ms. :wow: Console gamers need to go back to a CRT or pick up a low latency computer monitor.
