looks like sony wants to charge more than 399 but is scared too.

1. last time they charged more than 400, they met some backlash. Msft has had some recent success with the 500 dollar price tag so they aren’t really sweating it.

2. there probably aren’t 2 SKUs like some rumors would suggest. So there’s nothin to offer consumers who think a ps5 above 399 is too much.

3. I still think this is a smoke signal to msft. Sony is obviously still trying to milk the ps4 with its remaining exclusives and have been cautious with the amount of ps5 info they let out. While MSFT is full steam ahead and will likely reveal price sooner rather than later. To me, this article and the Bloomberg article just screams to me “we are ok charging more but don’t really wanna say that right now. “ plus it preps consumers for potential price hike.

I just think the hype would of been crazy and sold massive systems. I think with next gen coming you can tell the hype for these systems are dying down.

May not have been feasible. If TLOU started full production in 2016 (after uc4 release) and ps5 started concept work in 2017 then that doesn’t really line up. By the time you get ps5 dev kits, TLOU 2 was already showing trailers in 2018.

Plus can you really blame them for squeezing more life out of ps4. Its pure profit at this point.

Is Halo Infinite pushed back to XsX? It's a Xbox One game, that will also play on the new Xbox.

TLOU 2 was announced for PS4, it will sell on the PS4 and those who don't buy it can play it on PS5 since the PS5 can play it and will guaranteed have enhancements at launch. It'd be dumb to skip the 106 million install base to sell it on a new platform that requires a $500 or so purchase. That's just plain stupid.

The MP team branched off because it got too big and now it's a standalone they say that's not TLOU related

I'm pretty sure it's a Factions game they're gonna push with the PS5 later this year. Rep me when it happens.

They need to release 2 consoles. Grown ass people complaining about paying over $400 every 7 years. Release one console at $400 and the other at $600. The poor folks get what they want and 6 certs get what we want.

The issue with that is, the more SKUs, the more chance things are well optimized. The less targets, the better. If you can't afford it, save ya bread, get a hustle. It's a luxury item, not a necessity.
