let me find the youtube video regarding the memory units and parts Sony want to use which will drive the production price of sony 10 percent next year. This is the problem why Sony is having a hard time keeping it below 500 that memory they want to use will be in demand and production cost across the world will rise.
AMD has nothing to do with Memory

Look, as I've been saying since roughly March 2018 (in this very thread), next-gen is coming in 2020. That Semiaccurate article saying 2018 (lol) got people's hopes up for 2019, but by now I hope it's clear that the PS5 ain't coming out this fall.
And, despite all the rumors about devkits being out (usually from rumormongers who are wrong more often than not), the number of people briefed on next-gen is still very limited. Even within companies like, say, DICE, there'll be a small team of engineers who now have a rough idea of specs, and everyone else will know when they need to know. Not a lot of devs are disclosed on next-gen right now.
In other words, don't expect much in the way of substantial leakage just yet. The only thing to know for sure is that both Sony and Microsoft are aiming higher than that "10.7 teraflops" number that Google threw out last week. (And, as has been reported, Microsoft's got a few things in the works.)
Told y'all both Sony and MS were aiming to beat Stadia's number. Anyway, I'm no engineer, but my understanding from talking to people who are is that the CPU speed and the streaming capabilities of the high-end SSDs on both PS5 and XB2 will make wayyy more of a difference than teraflops, which seem more like console war bait than an actual measure of what video games will look like on these things. Games already look ridiculous enough; my hope (one that I imagine is shared with most reasonable gamers) is that the next generation of consoles is more focused on accessibility, 60+fps, and function rather than graphical fidelity.
- Whispers suggest PS5 and XB2 have similar specs (and both sound VERY powerful)
"I'm a player who recently switched to a high-end PC, so none of the graphic stuff makes me too excited. I don't know for sure, so don't repeat it, gossipers, but I'm pretty sure that the specs those guys are going to achieve with the PS5 and Anaconda are more powerful than GPUs like RTX 2080, things you can get on the market today. I think they're trying to play it safe for the future. I've heard many positive things about the level of power they work with," said Schreier.
Agreed, however I feel like microsoft probably has access to more in general, especially being cozy with 2 of the 4.That's the shyt I'm talking about.
Every phone manufacturer, Sony, Microsoft, GPU Vendors, Memory Vendors, get ram chips from the same place.
If there was a shortage or manufacturing problem, it would hurt everyone.
Sony, Microsoft, and others companies have preexisting contracts with OEMs, so they have already agreed to a chip price up front.
Ram shortages would mainly hurt the consumer who are trying to buy SSDs, SD Cards, GPUs, Memory modules, etc. That's who gets hurt in the situation of a shortage.
SSDs are going up in price as I type this.
But no, only Sony is going to be hurt.![]()
Microsoft and Sony both get memory from the same vendors.
There's only four ram vendors.
Nanya, Micron, Samsung, and SK Hynix.
With Micron, Samsung, and SK Hynix being the three biggest.
Stop speaking on stuff you clearly don't know anything about![]()

A day later he comes with some more bullshyt.
The company’s biggest headache is ensuring a reliable supply of DRAM and NAND flash memory, with both in high demand as smartphone makers gear up for fifth-generation devices, according to people familiar with Sony’s operations. Samsung Electronics Co. just announced its Galaxy S20 product range, each variant of which will have 5G and a minimum of 12GB of RAM in the U.S.
Videogame companies often sell hardware at thin margins or even at a loss because they profit from lucrative game software and recurring online subscription services. Sony’s Chief Executive Officer Kenichiro Yoshida has said the business should be judged by the number of active users, not the number of hardware units sold. Some Sony games staff think it should sell the new console at a loss if necessary to match Microsoft’s price, while other Sony executives would prefer to make money as the company did with the PS4.
“We must keep PlayStation 5’s bill of materials under our control and we need to make the correct number of units in the initial production,” Sony’s Chief Financial Officer Hiroki Totoki said at an earnings briefing earlier this month.
No shyt and I've never made the argument that Sony was willing to sell for a loss; So fukk outta with that strawman clown.
All I brought up was the talk of delays.
Now post more "rumors" of Microsoft willing to eat the cost of consoles to finally beat Sony on the fourth try fantard.

Usually when there's a shortage there are "priority" companies. Dell and microsoft are usually towards to the top of those list.
Money talks, and Sony isn't in the same league. They don't even have a cloudBeing that Sony is an actual electronics manufacturer and company in Asia, they would have better relationships than MS.
