I'm thinking SteamVR might be a little more because of the controllersI don't think so. But they said it would be reasonable. I'm guessing under $400

Yeah, the said it would be a premium price. I'm thinking $600-$800 (....ugh)I'm thinking SteamVR might be a little more because of the controllers
the development kit is $350, so I can't see the consumer model costing more than that. I'm gonna guess $250-$300How much is the rift going to cost??
Nah breh you gonna be buying FOUR. The Starvr is the resolution of triscreen with no visible pixelsI'm gonna be buying 3 VR headsets it now seems. The oculus rift, ps4, and the valve one.
Better start saving up now![]()
1440p in each eye. Goddamn!Nah breh you gonna be buying FOUR. The Starvr is the resolution of triscreen with no visible pixels
StarVR
$350-400 for VR? That seems entirely reasonable to me. You're getting two hd screens and sophisticated tech. I think it's a steal to be honest. The entry price for VR is not there yet for the average consumer.

One damn 1440p monitor costs more than that.
I think we'll see a revolution in gaming next year. I think everybody is gonna want one. I'm betting the oculus rift wins out in the long run though. If it's $250 I think it'll fly off the shelves.I understand it's relatively cheap for the tech, but not for the average consumer. Especially if it doesn't support current games and only specialized ones.
Im copping.
Might just buuild a pc rig finally for when oculus drops
I get to use oculus through my job. They have a contract with oculus and we have some at the office.
shyt is![]()
Nah. You just said people need a pretty good rig to run them.I think we'll see a revolution in gaming next year. I think everybody is gonna want one. I'm betting the oculus rift wins out in the long run though. If it's $250 I think it'll fly off the shelves.
Yeah, that's true. All first person games can be made to work with VR I think. Oculus even showed a third person platformer that worked with VR. I think a lot of games will be compatible.Nah. You just said people need a pretty good rig to run them.
And the games will be limited as hell. Enthusiasts will buy it, but it doesn't stand a chance in hell in the mainstream market.
Now if this was running the new COD, GTA, 2k etc, then it might be a big deal.
