Got damn the young brotha make me want to go out there and make a tackle....:wow:. Sound like a young Mike Singletary when he was playing middle linebacker with the bears.

He's not the athlete, but he's starting to remind me of Steve McNair. But with a chance to be "Air McNair" that the Oilers/Titans never really allowed him to be until late in his career. Jameis could be what people thought Steve was going to be.

Doubled up on wins from last season and they're getting close to my goal of 6 wins and this without a bunch of weapons on offense and our starting RT in Dotson.

With the rest of the schedule: @PHI, @IND, ATL, NO, @STL, CHI, @CAR

I can honestly see us winning 3-5 more games, @IND, NO, CHI could be gimmes if VJax and ASJ come back. @PHI, ATL, and @STL are toss ups. The only true loss I can see is @CAR if they're going into that game with a perfect regular season on the line.

We actually got a shot at finishing the season .500 or better and the scary thing is, this team ain't even healthy yet :wow:

Off-season Goals:
Get a new DBs coach
Draft one of VHIII or Ramsey or Treadwell (if both corners are gone)
Try to sign Norman away from Carolina
Sign Travis Benjamin away from Cleveland, him and Murphy in the slot could be all we need for deep threats
Use the rest of our draft picks on defense and maybe O-Line.

i want to win as many games as possible, especially when v-jax and asj come back. I want to see this offense in full strength.

but more losses means no more lovie. so :patrice:......................

Ehh, even though I hate the Tampa 2 Lovie is good for Jameis...Keeps him out of trouble off the field and focused on football, hes almost like a surrogate Uncle for Jameis...Plenty of trouble to get in Tampa as well its good that Lovie has his attention.

Amen brethren If we finish 9-7 despite the coaching and injuries this year would be A+ which is good going into free agency in the offseason

We gotta stop this Tampa 2 myth brehs. These guys line up in man2man a lot and still get smoked.. Thats why I said it's a mix between scheme and personnel

Definitely. The Tampa 2 that we're running is dated. The Cowboys have the same problem, but it's flipped. These corners are either getting beat at the line (us) or they're playing so off the line that they're getting beat by the inside slants (Cowboys). We need to definitely draft a CB/safety in this upcoming draft. We also need to draft a pass rusher off the end or at least sign someone & stick with them. Michael Johnson was terrible for us and now he's back at Cincinnati playing well again :beli:

We were close to signing that lunatic Greg Hardy too, but he slipped through our fingers at the last minute.

I also think we're going to end up letting Doug Martin walk, which is not a good idea. I'm all for keeping him, but we can't overpay him with so many other holes on the team.

Yeah his toughness reminds me of him. But McNair was an introvert and Jameis is an extrovert.

Personality wise Jameis is cut from a similar cloth as VY. But of course from a QB stand point jameis is far more cerebral and can read defenses better and of course is a pocket passer. But from the stand point of leadership and a take charge attitude he is very much like VY.

Thankfully Jameis doesn't have an ass hole coach and actually had a coach in high school and college that worked with him and developed him as a QB.
