The 18th letter dropped around Oct/Nov 1997?, if memory serves. I got the album a couple months after. It's aiiight, I just remember the rap city special around that time and some people amped off that verse from Mobb's "hoodlum".

Can't say I disagree.

Kane did a lot of dumb shyt during his career, but the dude was still a Top 3 lyricist in his time. His best joints from back then versus The God's would be a pretty close one

Kane was more versatile than Rakim

Kane also regularly rhymed about a greater variety of subjects than Rakim


No matter what mood I'm in, I can find a BDK song to suit it. It's a bit harder to do that with Rakim.
