Nah here’s where I explain I never listened to this album before but I’ll do so and report back with my findings

I know P rapped about coke as did others. But if every joint on here talking bout coke, I’ll say he’s the first

I mean shyt. Dudes in here saying ja rule influenced singing in rap like nikkas wasn’t doing it first. I can be wrong too.
No you won't :mjlol:.

Plus I'm debating with someone who never heard ice cream man trying to declare the clipse the kings of coke rhymes...says a lot

As someone who fukks with Push, this isn't an outlandish statement.

Edit: Maybe it is lol
Jim’s coming from an impact POV, on some “these are the 50 greatest rappers that mattered the most” type shyt…and I can easily make that list without even considering Push …there’s a lot of “nice” rappers out there…Ransom is nice, T-Rock from HCP is nice…50 greatest though?

You can tell the story of Hip Hop fairly easily, without mentioning Pusha T
I don't know about all this

this why I hate you Coli fakkits. I literally just pulled this shyt up on my Spotify. Why wouldn’t I.

I heard bout it bout it before. Had no coke bars. That I do know. But I am giving it a listen. Why not? The first few joints is coked up tho. Im on track 3. You want a screen shot nikka?

I like how you put that insurance though. First I wouldn’t listen. Now I had to have listened to old master p to talk about Pusha being the first coke rappers. Have you heard every album before P to deem him the first? Corny shyt. Also never said king. I said influenced

Back to the album

This is no order, but that’s 50 greater than Pusha T. I will admit 45-50 gets a little dicey and he may be able to fit if it’s someone’s preference.

Then you have guys like Fabolous who are ahead of him as well
No to the bolded, and there's others very arguable.

Dre should not be counted.

the clipse are YG to the neptunes Mustard, clearly they aint as bad of rappers as YG, but the star and talent was the producer. pusha would be making neo dust rap right now had he not been linked with the Neptunes which got him A list access and ability to get picked up by Ye.

this board overrates push, lupe, game, and lloyd banks like none other
YG and Clipse are worlds apart, maybe this is the case in 2002 but the Clipse matched the production and their follow ups were anticipated because of what they could do on Neptune production.

No to the bolded and the only reason I'm not highlighting Game is because I think he may have outsourced his pen for more of his career than not.

Just another daaaay selling ice cream in the baaaaaaay. Got this Nate dog nikka on here but it’s slick. I see now why they say P was jacking the west. He rapping south but this some west coast shyt. It’s funny hearing him calling out Richmond Cali on every joint. I get a lot of things now.

I’m not done but I see what y’all saying. He talking a lot of coke, moving kis, dealer shyt. Ohh shyt. How you do dat dere. I heard some of these before.

Things ain’t what it used to be sells it for me. Cause I thought this would be the one but he still talking crack. A few of these joints sound more southern. I don’t know how many tracks I got left. I’m not paying the 5. But I see the influence as a straight coke album.

Except for SuperThug (same song Micheal Jackson loved), Got Your Money, and Southern Hospitality most of those songs have similar elements/sounds to them.

Grinding was different, and no artist was typically going for the beat/sound they had on Hell Hath No Fury.it did not have the staple Neptune sound they were known for.

You basically proved why they would’ve been seen as Dr.Luke Max Martin and Stargate if they didn’t work with The Clipse.

They would’ve been Pop Commercial legends with no grit who Hip-Hop would’ve passed on over time.
I don't know if it would've been this bad, but I agree overall. Cats are being dense. Just about everyone hit listed is an artist running to them for one hit but not actually developing a general tandem/chemistry with them for their vision as a voice in hip-hop.
We heard about what Hov did with OH boy and we personally heard the Blueprint 2 album
:russ:

Just like Pusha wouldn’t of worked on the Paris track. Grinding wouldn’t of worked for Jay-Z

Your deposit is rejected
But I can't agree with this. There's a chance of it going bad but it's more likely that it would've really worked lol

It took The Clipse 9months to work that song before a video.

Do you see that beat working on The Blueprint ? I personally don’t and who knows how it sounds with Jay-Z on it.

The Grinding beat can work for Blueprint 2 but Jay was so defeated at that point and that albu was a hip hop version of an all star game IMO

In terms of lyrical ability and wordplay, Push is easily top 50. I can get if his music doesn't move you or feel impactful to you, but his skills are how he's lasted so long
No, being connected to two GOAT producers and one of the biggest artists ever is how he stuck around.

No, it wouldn't fit BP1. BP2 was more about lack of direction and reaching for hits than Jay not having any fire in him. Grinding would've likely been one of if the not the gem of the album.
