The assertion I contested was that he never moved the culture. Verifiably false.

You trying to maneuver like a hoe and asking about solo songs won't change the fact that assertion is verifiably false. At no point did I discuss/contest or remark on "ability to make songs the culture finds classic". The "culture" being a vague/non-tangible and arbitrary means of measure just makes your shyt even more laughable.

I won't even delve into the idiotic way of dismissing his body of work as part of an ensemble and or features as if they're not part of his catalog and/or should not be accounted for when speaking on ability to make songs and/or classics - as if music/song crafting isn't a collaborative effort.

Like I said, you nikkas discuss things like hoes. No more random goalpost moving and maneuvering fakkit. I already said it's perfectly fine not to have him top50 - that's not something I contested.
You're getting emotional about a rapper you've never met but I'm "a hoe". You got it tough guy :russ:

You can admit that he doesn't have any but you still like him...that's perfectly fine :ld:

I'm talking about a rapper and their ability to make songs the culture finds classic. A clear measure of greatness. What are they?

So what’s Grinding?

And if you not going to count group work then why no objections to Andre being in the top 50?

Pusha was part of Grindin. How has he never moved the culture?

Pusha made the two most popular rappers lean back, at different times, and with what seemed minimal effort from him. How has he never moved the culture?

It's perfectly fine not to have him in your top 50, but saying he has never moved the culture is not reflective of truth.

And I'm a grown ass men dawg, I don't care about shyt like "men didn't want to dress like him, and bytches didn't want to fukk him" that's birdbrain shyt

:hubie:

The culture of hip hop mainstream or indie isn't missing anything if that nikka didn't rap and worked on a cargo ship..

Does he have skills...yes
We're those ym/cmb disses dope...yes

Did he make a combination of high level music that the culture as a whole responded to?....no

the Neptune's did him and his brother a favor by giving them the Grindin beat...

The Clipse were borderline done after that song anyways lol

They not wu-tang or any group that made memorable music to where you say damn, where would hip hop be without them😅

The average person ain't rapping the pusha verse or even singing the bridge.

No one is/was dressing like pusha t

No one is/was trying to rap like pusha t

No one is/was going crazy over a pusha t

Yes that does matter when we are talking a CONSENSUS top 50 where

Impact/Sales/Skills/Longevity all come in to play..

Kayne produced these

2000
"The Truth" (Beanie Sigel)
2001
"Izzo (H.O.V.A.)" (Jay-Z)
2002
"Guess Who's Back" (Scarface)
"'03 Bonnie and Clyde" (Jay-Z featuring Beyoncé)
"Get By" (Talib Kweli)

:francis: yall saying he was a culture wide hip-hop influence in these years?

why we playing games here, I'll say it again as producers no one knew who the face behind the beats was until grindin

:obj: it's a Asian dude and Pharrell corny ass
You can't compare that run from Kanye to the Neptunes run from
  • They had a distinct sound
  • They (mainly Pharrell tbh) were all up in the videos and Pharrell often featured his vocals on the songs
  • They were doing songs for legit popstars
People knew exactly who the Neptunes were and what they looked/sounded like by the time Grindin came out.

Pusha put out classic solo albums. And thats after classics With clipse

If Pusha Aint top 50 then nobody deserves to be on the list. His resume speaks for itself. Lowkey he got higher quality number of albums than Jay :yeshrug:

I’m guessing nobody actually heard Pusha’s first solo albums on good music. It’s not billboard charting songs but they are good hip hop songs. This is when I know all the average person listens to is mainstream radio bullshyt.

THESE ARE BASICALLY MIXTAPE SONGS nikka
AND THEY ALL SOUND THE SAME.

LIKE ANY DECENT RAPPER CAN DO THIS BUT THEY USUALLY DONT GET
MAJOR LABEL RELEASES FROM IT.

HE NEVER HAS
PUSHED HIMSELF TO MAKE REAL SONGS.

I fukkS PUSHA BUT IM SHOCKED
AT THE WAY SOME OF YOU
nikkaS HAVE OVERRATED HIM
IN THIS THREAD.

HES NEVER BEEN ON THAT LEVEL
AS AN ARTIST.

Solid rapper with solid projects. His projects consistantly 7-8/10. I'd put him in top 50. He always picks beats that are suitable for his style too, great ear for beats and always has great producers behind him.

Just as a rapper, I don't think he's that influential on the game or anything but a solid rapper for sure.

Those are not mixtape sounding songs. Timbaland produced the first one I posted. They’re way too polished for them to sound anything like mixtapes. The new shyt Drake has been releasing sounds like some modern mixtape shyt. And they don’t sound good.

BP2 went triple platinum within 2 or 3 months of release but he was struggling commercially :gucci:

MM2 is an all time GOAT mixtape, easily top 5 :wow:

BP2 was a product of making a double album when a single album would have done. It Hov took the best songs from both discs and threw “People Talkin” on there too, BP2 woulda easily been one of Hov best albums.

And y’all wilding saying Hov wouldn’t have bodied Grindin :gucci:

Clipse did their thing on it and I won’t say for sure Hov version woulda been that much better but he woulda made a hit with that beat. In all fairness that beat was so crazy just about anyone woulda made a hit with it.

People sleep on Ja but during his run Ja made dope ass albums with at least 2 of them being classics. Ja dropped a dope album 4 years in a row.

Nellyville and Country Grammar are classics. Luda first 5 albums were all dope and he a dope lyricist. I’d put Luda over Pusha lyrically :unimpressed:

Harlem Diary Of A Summer and POME are definitely classics
You must be quoting the wrong guy between me and @The Connoisseurs because I said Jay on Grindin would blow up and there's nothing from me saying Jay struggled commercially
