shyt is believable :yeshrug:

Y'all hung up on the clothes and took that part a little too much to heart when it's really just speaking on the fundamental differences between the two and how they were looked at in some cases.. The Street poet vs the hustler

But nikkas in here trying to clown Push(when he actually defended Nas in the story) because Nas wasn't put in the best light..

I can tell vagina turns into sandpaper around y'all

Something about this story seems off. I'm calling cap.

Doesn't even make sense. I feel like these n*ggas just be saying anything now.

That would be the weirdest lie.

Sounds like he’s saying that some off brand OGs told him some shyt.

And Pusha was like 21 in 96, how could he be so gullible :mjlol:

The Set
:russ: I get it. In 94 I got shamed for listening to

Wu
Tribe
Redman
Nas
Duck Down stuff
Outkast (imagine being from the south and being shamed for listening to outkast)
OC
Artifacts
Jeru
Pete Rock and CL Smooth
Gangstarr

shyt was still VERY regional. Radio was still ruling public perception. Music Videos hadnt caught up as far as broadening cats perspective as far as rap/hip hop goes. It was a weird time.

We went from "everything" to "only regional shyt" to "only west coast" to "only whats on the radio" to "only what the TV shows us" to.... "social media" some kinda way

Hell, before 1994, look at a Jet Magazine top 20 (if you can find one). Folks were listening to Tears for Fears, Boy George, Human League, whatever was good.

Im still till this day trying to figure out what happened. Musical tastes kinda got segregated, divided and then redistributed.

This is even more true because each Region had their own look, there were so many little cultural nuances, now look at us? The internet has made Hip hop so damn small breh.

This is crazy cause Push at no time in his career was ever looked at as a fly dude lol
He thinks he’s fly remember he was beefing with Wayne over who “started” BAPE.

Dude is a try hard and wasn’t wearing no fukking Versaces in ‘96. This nikka was wearing dikkies, jerseys, BAPE, BBC in his prime. That high end shyt came later fukking with Ye and the hypebeast streetwear movements. Pusha is one of them dudes that could put on the flyest pieces and still wouldn’t look fly.

Out here in his 40’s wearing skirts and shyt. :camby:
