I was listening to something the other day and this gif popped in my head

nikka said it on the first albums introEverybody knows Miami Vice and Yosemite Sam started Push on the criminal path. He admitted it on the first album
Half the people that continued to hustle were addicted to the lifestyle and the rush of it. It was gonna take another type of rush to get them away from it.When you realize that, you also realize rapping about only selling drugs like you truly love it and its the most interesting sh1t, like the Clipse do, is stupid
One isn't contingent upon the other. There are plenty of those that came up with nothing, had nothing, had no one and still didn't do dirt. Just as there are those that did dirt to try to escape their situation. And there may be the same that came from stable home hustling as those that didn't. People just have to recognize that the decisions they made were of their own volition. At least Pusha has always acknowledged thatDudes like this are the real sinister ones…when just wanting to have things and not have to struggle and starve is the motivation behind why you rob, steal and deal and whatever then at least there’s a slight little sliver of understanding and empathy that you can be allotted. But when you come from a good home in a good neighborhood, raised by good parents who gave you good nice things…and you still decide to sell poison to people…yeah, you just a straight up bad person, lol.
A life of crime should be the absolute…like total absolute, last resort…it shouldn’t be any resort at all actually, under no circumstance should you become criminal because you’re ultimately going to lose bad…but damn, if you’re gonna do it at least let it be a last resort. I know madd suburb dudes who was hustling heavy back in the day all through NC and Henrico and all that…just because it was the “cool” thing to do…risking their lives and freedoms just to be cool,. Could never be me, anything nefarious I ever did as a kid was almost exclusively because my pockets was damn near or completely on E
People think you need to be poor to be a drug dealer
The World is a lil bit more complex than that![]()
The only type of nikkas that would think this is damning would be a Drake type of nikka.
Sheltered or burb nikkas that have/had zero contact with nikkas who were street .
To be honest nikkas in the hood with police fathers go harder because they understand the stigma on themNever lied about their upbringing, they just some dudes who wanted more money and to be fly. They didn't grow up poor but was middle class.
This is unlike some rappers with Police fathers. Looks at Benny The Butcher and Freddie Gibbs.
Good point and to be fair Gibbs spoke about it on records before but Benny hasn't lolTo be honest nikkas in the hood with police fathers go harder because they understand the stigma on them
A cops son taught me(A very young me)how to break into cars and he himself was known for robbing nikkas around town
