We need a Curry/Westbrook/Rose type PG that can shoot or take it to the basket if Melo and KP are unavailable

Or at the very least, someone at the 2 who can consistently put up like 20 PPG
Afflalo has been fine it's our pg starting spot that needs an upgrade . I'd rather Gallo or Grant start already so they pick it up quicker and the offense will be a lot faster with them. Caldo needs to come off the bench. Unless we get super lucky and get a pg in a trade we need to make Gallo start already. He led last year his rookie year with nooooooooo type of team last season he's earned a spot.

Galloway: 9, 3 and 2 but struggled with his shooting for most of the game. Clutch Galloway is almost all the way back though. He made a big three and a nice driving finish in the late minutes. He also drew Gobert on a couple of missed drives where the offensive rebound was free for RoLo (we see this happen to our bigs all the time and it's nice to flip that). Galloway knows how to take what's given to him and not force much, when he does force an attempt at the rack; he'll typically make sure it gets above the defensive big so that rebounding opportunities are there which is a big plus for a PG (he's a floater away from being a real nightmare on those drives anyway).

Always appreciate these dog. The thing I'm loving more about Gallo is that he seems to be starting to command the offense better. Something I think is the most important job of any pg. Melo even trusts him to bring the ball up in pressure situations, something he didn't always do... I remember one transition where he recognized Melo in the post, demanded the ball from Lopez, fed Melo who swung it to D Will I believe for the corner 3.

Tangent: Is it me, or would the Cavs actually benefit greatly from the triangle? With there confusion with roles on that team etc...

I just realized something, this'll be the first time in a minute that we've got a rising star game to look forward too:blessed:

Tyson was my dude during them finals but really dropped the last few years he was here:/

If rolo can catch them bullet passes melo does like Kenyon could he gonna be even more deadly.

To be fair to him... That game THjr went at Dion Waiters was pretty exciting...

no it wouldnt benefit the cavs that much IMO....because while lebron is the best at passing out of the post.....
kyrie needs the ball in his hands to be effective....
he's not a a great spot up, catch and shoot player.
it would benefit love tho....but he's washed :francis:

Many thanks fam, I'ma try to keep 'em coming as much as possible for sure. I think you're on to something with Galloway, his instincts are lot more attacking based while Calderon is a more patient approach. It'd be interesting to see how Galloway's TO numbers would be affected with a bigger role because right now he's really impressive with ball protection. He picks mismatches and isn't afraid of the risk whereas Calderon won't throw an entry pass to a big that's being fronted most of the time (even if it's KP and guard). He's got plenty to learn, but the reps with the starters would only help. I also think Calderon would benefit working with Grant. Grant attacks inside than kicks, Calderon is our best three point shooter and a very good catch and shoot guy plus he's a vocal player which will help Grant's decision making to speed up (he dribbles too much at times). Grant would also let Calderon slide to SG's on most nights, where Calderon is just a better defensive match-up in spite of giving up size imo. I think mixing those two combos would benefit both units.

The Cavs in the triangle would be interesting. I don't think Lebron has as much post versatility which would cut into his FTA's, but his vision and passing would be nuts. Love would immediately benefit big time in the system too. Kyrie would have to learn a lot of new wrinkles and might struggle but his jumper is really good, so if he could get comfortable moving off the ball it would be beneficial. Where they'd get killed though is at C; Tristan doesn't have enough range or IQ imo to handle all of the demands and neither does Mozgov. Shump and JR both proved they can't handle the system either. So this would potentially benefit the big three but they'd suffer from the weaknesses of their counterparts. Delly would be a nice triangle PG too.
