I honestly don't get why people bringing up thibs or Ewing, or any other coach that's not running triangle. Phil said himself that it's a proven system that works for him and he wants someone who understands that philosophy. That means he probably keeping it in the fam. Unfortunately that makes the list horribly low. Who are you talking about really? Rambis, or maybe shaw?:scusthov: Other names id figure are Luke Walton or Frank Hamblen.

To be fair Phil said he is looking trade..... now is not the time to draw attention to yourself if you want to stay in town. He sent dudes to Cleveland for less.

I really doubt Rambis is the long term plan. Its probably Walton or Shaw. Probably with Walton being the ideal and Shaw being the back up. Both guys have long term relationships with Phil and if its between the knicks and the Lakers I like the knicks chance at being chosen.

For what its worth that's BJ Armstrong's agency and that knicks job just opened..... :yeshrug:

Lance Thomas and a second round pick for JR and Shump worked out fine. LT has been a solid 3 & D rotation off the bench.

actually a few coaches have given LT a lot of props and his early bird rights means he is a 2 mil cap hold.

That has value, and who knows if he was available before since he was Fisher's favorite player........ behind Sasha:francis:

All you needed was to watch a game to see that Fisher is not head coach material in the NBA.
Of course he wasn't good, I watch the games and acknowledged that, but why bring in a rookie coach if you won't even give him a chance to grow? The team sucks too, how much do you expect the next coach to even get out of the team? Fisher's being fired like the team was expected to even make the playoffs in the first place; 23-31 is probably were a lot of people expected the team to be at right now. If you want to say Fisher should be fired because he's impeding the growth of some players, then fine, but I can't be mad at Fisher for performing like an inexperienced coach, when he's an inexperienced coach in a season that wasn't expected to be all that successful in the first place.

I'm just afraid that this is one of those "grass is greener" type situations, and the team end's up with a coach who's just as shytty(Shaw, Jackson, Rambis), with none of the room to get better that Fisher has.

No Hoe-zay Calderon on the floor??? :blessed:
Arron Afflalo with 3 ASSISTS??? :mjlolk2::camby:
15 Turnovers, though??? Really, breh? 15? :hface:
You only won by 6 against Chicago this time. Better win by at least 15 vs your next opponent.

I know I gotta cut down on them turnovers though :manny:

And I barely had Jose on the floor, Grant and Galloway FTW :jawalrus:

I usually play Melo at the 4 and GOATzingis at the 5 and it's just :wow:

It wasn't just that he was a horrible coach or inexperienced. It was that he had no direction, whatsoever. He had no game plan, no philosophy and nothing implemented to build on. If he showed some consistency on his part with what he wanted to do, your points would be valid - sometimes philosophies take time, or the team you have doesn't respond or slow to respond. Then we charge that to inexperience or still learning. BUT, he had no gameplan, no philosophy and no consistency. In any 10 game stretch, he would use about 7 different rotations and 8 different styles of play. Those are inexcusable.

Thibs will run dudes into the ground. And I'm not sure players want to play for him, Outside of Jimmy Butler. How many shots at free agency did he have to end with nothing.

Can't run offensive plays either. This team can play defense, dont know what Thibs adds other than being a loud cac coach to placate Knick's fans 90s nostalgia.
every pg plays better under thibs

Jackson noted there are some players on the roster who would be off-limits in trade talks. Specifically, he mentioned Carmelo Anthony and rookie Kristaps Porzingis.

"I think it is a known fact that Carmelo has a no-trade [clause]," Jackson said. "And we like Kris. Everybody likes Kris. There's not too many people that ever would say that I would trade [Kristaps]."

On the low, Phil just said Melo's available if he wants to be
