A player that is younger and helps fill out the roster during the rebuild. Melo is not that dominant player who gets a team to the playoffs anymore. By the time the Knicks get a somewhat decent roster together he will be way over the hill.Still don't understand the desire to trade Melo when he's on a desirable contract and is still the best player on the team. He dominates most matchups and has become a serviceable defender. What more do we want?
It is time to move on. You guys really need to stop looking at the contract as if it means anything to us right now. The team is in rebuild mode with an all-star who is nearing the end of his peak and wants to win now. How much sense does that make?
This isn't rocket science

We can develop Kristaps, Grant and Galloway and get some better vets to become a decent playoff team. Why do we need more young players? I think it's a little naive to think that if we go through another losing season that we'll get a player of equal or greater talent than Kristaps.
