Yeah to be honest I wasn't down with this nicca Porzingis cause dude made a late charge in the draft and usually those types of players are bust. Once I saw dudes like practice clip or camp clip with I think the Kings I was legit impressed then the english during the draft and I was like

Saric thinks he's better than what he is. I think he's gonna have struggles when he makes the leap. There is talent there, but I think he's too hardheaded to max out his potential.

I was gonna be pissed either way because we wasn't gonna get Towns or Okafor. But Phil wouldn't have picked him if he didn't see something special. Plus this draft wasn't that deep in talent.

The surprise was that top 4 teams really liked him too and then he turned into a top 5 lock (Orlando woulda snatched him up immediately had NY passed him).

I wasn't happy with it at first, because I was for sure thinking Okafor was going to fall to us. Then I saw his documentary on grant land and thought . This Nikka could be something nice.

Pretty much, I just assumed he was Orlando bound. They're a young team and everybody regarded him as a project so it just seemed like the correct fit.
