So previous coaching history doesn't matter as long as he's now coaching the Knicks? @tremonthustler1 told you his defensive philosophy which played out last night with all them threes, go back and look at the stats for the Wolves, on a per game basis they gave up the 1st and 2nd most threes while he was coaching. And even on those poor Wolves teams his 2 years stick out like a sore thumb in regards to threes, they were the first time in Wolves history teams attempted 20+ threes against them :russ: and the following year after he was fired they defended the three much better.

He's an interim coach, I don't get why you're defending him as though he's going to be there long term, dude is a poor coach.

He still did a slightly better job than Fish :yeshrug:beggars can't be choosers. I'll take him til the offseason.

I just don't understand being defensive over him, he's clearly not a long term solution.

Yeah, I'm not sweating it with Rambis, though I do think he did show a couple of promising signs from the standpoint of making KP the number two guy which will help his development and actual implementation of pick and rolls periodically...those two obvious coaching choices are enough for me after the mess that was Fisher coached games.:snoop:

Yea but you're saying it like he's the actual coach from here on out. This is one game by an interim head coach and Who do teams usually put in place after the head coach being fired?

Judge Rambo off one game brehs:beli:

People are judging him on his previous coaching job, and what happened last night is right in line with what would happen to the Wolves, which is a barrage of threes.

And no, I said he's not a long term solution so why even defend him? Dude isn't a good coach which is why he's been an assistant all these years. The roster is flawed too, you could get Red Auerbach & Pop to fuse and it wont change the defensive issues on the wing.

I don't give a shyt what happened in Minnesota :what: yea he had a shytty stint there but u gone throw him to the bushes after one game that was almost a win for us? We gon judge Tyrone lue after losing his first game as a head coach now? Yea we allowed a lot of threes but if you watched the game you would've seen him running plays out of time outs something fisher doesn't do.

Like @storyteller said let's give it about 5-6 games to pass judgment

As of right now. Phil Jax already said he's staying with Rambis through the end of the season. And you already know their will be other teams in the offseason making a play for Thibs as well.

This is why I don't think he goes for Thibs. If he wanted Thobs he would go for him now instead of letting other teams compet for him. The only reason to wait is to give the job to somebody already employed like Walton.

Nobody walks into a coaching position in the middle of a season.

Seems like a BS report, but there's some places dropping news that if the Knicks hire Scott Brooks then Durant will be interested. Even if it was true, I doubt Phil's the type to bend to the will of a player...Jimmy Dolan though...that's another story, he might fall for some ish.

Poor coach is a compliment.

He's one of the worst ever.
