Dennis Schroeder

Taken outside the lottery with the 17th pick.
Ah ok, yeah the German. Forgot about that dude for a sec.

Think he will be more than a solid backup though? Oddly enough he will be our best PG if we were to land him :dead:

He averages more than double the assists per game than Afflalo does as a backup in half the minutes :dead:

I sometimes hate this franchise man LMAO

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
Even though he was undrafted, Galloway deserves to be ahead of Grant at this point. As a fifth year senior and the 19th overall pick, Jerian looks like a D League player right now :hface:
Not gonna give up on Grant though. :to:

Grant will be fine, he needs more freedom and more high screen and roll action.

This shyt is hilarious, you guys are an embarrassment to knowledgeable NBA fans

I'm not even sure I'd trade crowder straight up for melo, no joke... Crowder is a leader, a man, plays all world defense and fits within the offense... Plus he's on a bargain contract.

Danny Ainge has been pretty vocal that if he moves the Brooklyn pick, it won't be for a player in his 30s... Look it up, look up his interviews from the last two weeks on toucher and rich, or dale and Holley... Both are on podcasts under iTunes.

Carmelo Anthony has an awful contract and hasn't proven to be able to play 60 games in a season in at least two years, never mind, you know, actually get a team to the playoffs... He's an overweight chucking ball hog with bad knees, yet you think a team is going to throw a godfather offer at yall

It's best for the Knicks long term future to get his contract off the books, get any kind of youth and or draft picks back and go from there
The irony

He will be, if he can develop a jumper which I think he will, Phil took him because of his size. Phil has an obsession with big PGs for defense, so Grant will get a lot of chances.

I really hope you're right. At the end of last season, Knicks ran alot of high PNR with Shved as the starting PG when the team started to experiment some different things. There needs to be more continuity in Knicks rotations (no more Vujacic :usure:) and Grant needs to play as minutes as he can with KP as the backup C.

Raptors' Kyle Lowry on 2013 trade to the Knicks: 'That deal was done'

TORONTO – Toronto Raptors All-Star guard Kyle Lowry was ready to pack his bags and contact a real estate agent in December of 2013. He thought Toronto was trading him to the New York Knicks.

“That deal was done,” Lowry told USA TODAY Sports about a trade that would’ve sent him to the Knicks, and the Raptors would have received Metta World Peace, Iman Shumpert and a future first-round draft pick.

Kyle Lowry almost became a New York Knick in 2013.

Imagine Lowry as the Knicks’ point guard, which is exactly what they need.

But the Knicks killed the deal, at the request of Knicks owner James Dolan, according to people familiar with the situation. Dolan was smarting from a deal with then-Denver Nuggets general manager Masai Ujiri, who traded Carmelo Anthony to the Knicks for a handful of valuable assets. Dolan was worried Ujiri, now Toronto’s GM, was getting the best of the Knicks again.

It was also a pivotal point in the direction of Ujiri’s Raptors. Two weeks earlier, he had traded Rudy Gay to Sacramento and was ready to trade Lowry to the Knicks. Toronto was on the verge of a rebuild.

Instead, the Raptors kept Lowry, made the playoffs that season, last season and are now in second place in the East.

“At the end of the day, the decision was made for me to be here and it worked out equally, perfectly for both parties,” said Lowry who is in the second year of four-year, $48 million contract.

we neg training if D12 isn't here monday morning right? :laff:
That might not be easy to pull off man, Melo has a terrible contract AND a NTC. Pretty much have to convince him that the Rockets are just a piece away from a championship.

With Harden and Melo...the other 3 players on the court might as well just sit back on the defensive end while Harden and Melo decides who wants to eat the ball on that possession.

I really wanted that Lowry trade to get done back then, but after trading assets away for Bargnani, trading away another first was just too much of a risk. In hindsight it worked out, because it indirectly led to Porzingis getting drafted, but I would've done that trade all day if it was for just THjr and Shumpert, and not a first.
