We would have been that desperate club goer. The team was damn near trying to do something strange for a little bit of change from Amare.

We had no pieces that could make another team desperate and no fair deals came or way... chalk it up and give props to Phil being calculated.

All these rumors are finally over. Bricky Rubio won't be on our team. We still have the option to waive Calderon at the end of the season and eat his contract. We did more by not doing anything this time around.

This is why I said earlier, that we didn't need to make a move for the sake of making a move. GMs around the league knew that the Knicks needed a PG, and were going to try & fleece the Knicks. The supposed Beverly trade is a pure example. People also have to remember, this isn't the Knicks management of past years, and Phil actions are calculated. And I wouldn't get any hopes up regarding the waiver wire, I doubt that anyone will be available that will make a significant impact on the roster.

We know this is the roster for the rest of the season, and the goal now is to make a (tough) push for the playoffs.
