Bird: Pacers haven't begun coaching search

On Thursday when asked about progress of the coaching search, Bird, Pacers president of basketball operations, said: “Haven’t started yet.”

Here's the good news; the Pacers decided to promote an assistant within a couple of days and it was official. We've gone this long and Rambis still isn't hired, so hopefully Blatt or Vogel is gonna get the nod in which case...I don't care how long it took, just that we get a good coach.​

Phil tends to use meals to interview people. He did expensive dinner interviews before picking Fisher as well. So it a good chance that was Blatt's interview as much as anything else. I'm still hoping its Vogel over Blatt.
