Dude is worth nearly 5 billion, pay that man whatever he wants. Everyone in Cleveland is eating. The outcome may have been different if Kyrie and Love wasn't hurt.
So a man who's team lost 50% of its value when Lebron left.
Gets Lebron back 4 years later and the teams worth increases by 500 million and you actually think the owner won't resign him if he doesn't win a champion ship this year? Is you fukking crazy OP.
See this shows you how fans don't understand that this shyt is a business first no matter what the media and the owners say. Fans stay caught on stupid when it comes to sports.
Lol @ "if LeBron fails again"

Even with paying the high tax penalties, Gilbert is earning more with Bron, than he would be without him, and having no tax penaltiesYou bring up a great point! But the main objective at the end of the day for a player of Lebron's skill is to deliver a title. My business is making money, but I'm also spending money as well with these new contracts putting me well into luxury tax. I want a title to justify all this spending. Spending without getting the prize means nothing.
There's no guarantee he'll bring me title, indeed.Even if he never brings a title to your organization?

Also, it will permanently help increase the worth of the franchise
I seriously doubt the Cavs would be any closer to winning a title by letting LeBron James walk this offseason brehI guess none of us would have a choice if we were in Gilbert's place then. Leading up to Lebron's new contract I would look into all my options before committing that much loot to Bron though.
Did you not watch the finals??LeBron is not in his prime anymore breh.

I don't have a problem with Lebron taking Dan Gilbert for a ride and making him spend as much as possible for the Cavs, but put ya selves in his spot for a moment. Lets say Lebron fails again this season and does not deliver a ring to Cleveland. Do you guys give Lebron the contract he will ask for when the TV deals kick in or low ball his ass at the negotiation table? The reason I'm bringing this topic up is because of the injections that Lebron has been getting in his back, which is indicating that he is breaking down. Why should I continue to invest in this guy when I know I'm getting a depreciating asset, also he left me for Miami and gave them his best years. What would you guys do if you were in Dan Gilbert's place?
