MELTZER: I think Wade Keller is a good businessman. I don't think ... in a sense you could say he's competition, and I don't consider him to be competition, because I don't consider what he does and what I do are all that similar.



Nah, but Keller is cool, I used to read the Torch but it doesn't have the same depth as WON and thier audio show are terrible in quality.

Garbage posting. Meltzer's news is consistently correct as often as can be when covering Cokeboy's product. He has most of the major matches called months in advance. He was telling us it was gonna be HHH-Rollins (before he got hurt) and then HHH-Reigns months ago.

Garbage reading comprehension. I never implied that he's of no use, what I said was he never really says anything that a veteran wrestling fan with intuition couldn't have guessed. You're telling me HHH-Rollins was still some level revelation when they were starting to have tension in September and the sheets were saying Reigns was beating Rollins at Survivor Series? That a shyt ton of people didn't call HHH coming in at 30 and beating Reigns? That people didn't take a dump on Fastlane because it was so obvious Reigns was going over?

He was the one with ALL the info on AJ, Nakamura, Gallows, & Anderson.

Like I said, there's some use to him as a news source but it seems like it's increasingly sparse as the years go on and it's more of the "Lana may have heat but it's not a big deal but it's definitely something" Double Talk Dave variety

I think a lot of the people who discredit Meltz never actually read the Observer directly, they just read the shytty "newz" sites that twist the stuff he reports

Not true at all, he was all over the TNA/Spike & TNA/DestAmerica issues. He's the one who revealed why they were dropped from each network, and had the story of them almost selling to Jarrett & Toby and why it didn't happen.

He had all the news on Tanahashi's shoulder injury recently, why Fale didn't jump to WWE, Ibushi leaving.

His sources are credible & he knows his shyt.

Does the Torch ever have any insider news? When I heard Keller on Austin's podcast he struck me a just a smark breaking down his thoughts on the show. He didn't really seem to have any insider news to offer on plans for anyone in the company.

Fair enough. But again, what I'm getting at is that still wouldn't have been revelatory in my eyes even in last April after Rollins swapped the stomp for the Pedigree and was constantly being emasculated by The Authority in all those opening promos. He was right about the feud but then he completely whiffed on that Summerslam prediction and by then it definitely wasn't some hot scoop. Dude's good at pulling some general info out there, but he isn't some kind of wrestling soothsayer. I mostly only follow him for his predictions on WWE storylines and frankly he hasn't been all that in that regard... for me at least
