Completely dedicated to what he does and you gotta respect that. As much as you love the business, Dave probably loves it a little more.

I mean, he must. It's his whole fukking life, right? Wrestling and MMA, every waking moment. Dude's probably thinkin' about midcard booking plans while he's makin' love to his wife.

He's wrong sometimes, but everybody is. Bottom line, nobody is more dedicated and even if he's wrong a lot, just through sheer volume, he's right often enough that he blows everybody else out of the water.

There are no real challengers among wrestling journalists.

That is true, i've NEVER heard him say anything critical in regards to the Young Bucks

And the Young Bucks are the only reason he has even been remotely right about puro in the past few years which still isnt often.

Double talk on what tho? The lana stuff, sure. He makes predictions & gives guesses on most things. Everyhing he says isn't 100% because plans literallt do change.

Are we already forgetting that he was the one to know & report that Undertaker's opponent wasn't on the active roster.

Some of you guys expect him to have spoilers of things that the creative team doesn't even have spoilers on.

I used to say the same before i subscribed. Most of that is just misinformation tbh. Some People take his thoughts and run with them as facts.

I only really ever encounter his stuff on this forum....I like the topics revolving around his scoops, legit or not....

I mean, I wouldn't NOT want his leaks posted here....

At the very least, Doublespeak Dave threads are good for fukkery....

The few times I've seen him on video...he does come off as being on the spectrum a bit. Also, the only time I tried to read one of his actual articles, (The Daniel Bryan retirement article that was posted here), I couldn't even get through it.

But ultimately, I feel that wrestling "needs" a Dave Meltzer. So keep those leaks comin'.

Despite some very dodgy reports that have come around to bite him in the ass and reveal a number of his bs stories over the last few years, he's still a very well known name in the industry and THE name when it comes to his ratings and shyt like that, alot of people care what he thinks and he does have alot of respect and has had it for around 20 + years.

Fair enough if he gets knocked for his reports as I don't think anyone should read too much into anyones "backstage reports" but people do trust his reviews and ratings, as he was pretty much the original guy doing reviews and ratings of stuff outside of the mainstream and he does know his Pro Wrestling like the back of his hand.

I don't really like the guy and I don't agree with some of his ratings but he has got to where he is for a reason, the guy is also freakishly knowledgable to the point that he is known for his ability to remember attendance records for the most random wrestling shows out there off the top.
