^ some shyt that is too late and we are past at this point.......... there are millions of white kids that will purchase it enough for the media to have the funds to crown all the culture vultures.

We need the above approach.

LMFAO - the labels are gonna push who ever sales - you can't boytcott the labels because white people are buying her music. Why do you care if she's eating.

This is that black hate and crabs in the barrel mentality. I consider Iggy hiphop and while she's overhyped and commercial - we wanna tear her down.

Let me look at it from your eyes though. She's not hiphop and she's a guest - why are we attacking her still? Why don't we put that energy into going out and BUYING music you feel is appropriate for black people and black culture.

Don't let me get a list of how many consicous rappers have went platinum throught the last 10 years. I probably can count them on my fingers. This is clown shyt and you know Smart - as an artist yourself, that no one is supporting that backpacker shyt, the hiphop you do doesn't sell out shows, you not making a career out of that. You can't retire off of that. The general population doesn't want to hear it, you got one chic who is eating off white people and you guys are hating on her instead of channeling theenergy into positivity...why? what's the reason?

The thing is....she's co-signed by black artist, black people....we're cool and hip, so that gives the impression that she's popping...I really don't want to make this a race thing tho...I want to make this a hip hop thing....

I generally ignored Iggy to be honest...But this backlash she's getting is interesting to me, so I wanted to propose a solution to the real problem. I don't blame her for getting paid, or even those around her getting paid off of her....but if we really want to take this culture back and keep it in the right direction...we can and should do it..

They are gonna keep feeding us trash until we spit that shyt out and leave that plate filled with the garbage they served...

Breh, I agree with you. But we did this a decade ago. Remember when Wu came out and then West Coast music came and we answered with Puffy and Biggie. Shiny suit man. The commercialization of hiphop has been going on . KRS1 did a remix of Rapture with Puffy - with fukking Puffy - that shyt killed me breh. I realized that this art form is bought and sold just like every other one. Organic shyt isn't selling and is only a niche - that back packer shyt is a niche. And guess what , all that positivity and you look in the crowd and it's white faces supporting it.

If you ain't trappin and whorin, you not selling no damn music in the black community. If white people gave us back hiphop and literally left us alone. Hiphop would be dead in less than 5 years...you have some of the lowest sales ever, only a handful of people actually selling well.

If you think i'm wrong say it and I won't respond. Giving hiphop "back" to blacks would be an utter disasterous failure.

Eminem has Racist tapes with him saying degrading shyt about black ppl, Iggy 2 my knowledge(I never even heard a verse from her) doesn't. So why are so many artist attacking her but are giving Eminem the top selling WHITE rapper a green light pass? Doesn't add up
Cause she is not amerikkkan:troll:

Breh...we don't need the white dollar...THAT is that slave mentality that keep us looking for material things...for instant gratification instead of long term thinking....They got us right where they want us...

A lot of people peep the bullshyt nowadays, but still enjoy the mindless shyt......but do nothing about it because no one wants to be first, no one wants to support that cause because the outcome is so far away, they can't picture it.

Imagine if we only requested that real shyt....imagine if we stopped tuning in, imagine if we stopped dapping, liking, following, friending, viewing the bullshyt....something would have to be done because the only thing they value is money, not the well being of our community...

If you pressure Marshall into

Coming out and admitting his legacy and impact on hip hop is greatly exggerated/embellished because he is white.

You would think he dropped an album on the level of Illmatic or The Chronic

Marshall can drop doo doo and put it out and it will get praised.

A black artist can put their blood sweat and tears into an album. Make a great project and it'll get over looked.

The masses will be pissed.

Hip hop will win

Eminem is protected right now and so is his legacy within so theres nothing you can do about him...Hes made millions on millions in rap i doubt he gives a shyt about what fans think of his legacy...all the heavyweights in rap love him and think hes a goat...
Nobody would go against him when the tapes dropped...

yes we do. That has filled alot of pockets in our communities. BET all that shyt was funded by what was brought to us. No one supports that "real shyt" (what does that mean nowadays).

Jayz still sells more than Lupe
Pac still sold more than Jungle brothers (people think Pac was real shyt and biggie too, and everyone has an opinion on this but to me real shyt is constantly uplifting, no bytches, no hoes, no pimps) but then the question is what his hiphop about. Is it street music telling the story of the life in the streets, is party music meant to keep the party going, is it conscious music that should have you thinking, is it about love.

There's the age old question, real is very different to people. It's not slave mentality to understand that white people still support the genre more than blacks. The proof is the pudding, the conscious shyt outside a few artists , gets very little play. Even lupe and commons conscious albums are sublet with a bunch of commerical appealing songs.

kinda rambled there my bad - good conversation though.

Word up...

...Because I like to denounce materialism, I'm always going to shy away from an idea that someone is needed because they put money into it. The more money someone puts into something, the more they think they own it.

Money is killing us. Kids write and record what they think will make them enough money to stunt, or to better their families situation. Kind of hard to frown upon that motive. But when you look at the bigger picture and see family principles and basic human values are being discarded just for the dollar, you should start to think something is wrong...

while poisonous messages are being spread, children are being brainwashed by these words put to a beat....their vision is being formed for them so that heartless nature is being perpetuated and effecting everything....Families aren't valued...respect for women has waned....independence reigns supreme when their is power in numbers...

This conditioning is deep breh...
