-Ice wanted P to pay for his car getting towed. Sherm was tight with Ice so he was ready to deal with P if it didn't go Ice's way
-Lake was pissed at Sherm for KO'ing P and taking his chain. Sherm barked back at him and Lake had them pull the car over so they could fight. Lake was bigger so he just grabbed him and scolded him
-When they got back to QB they saw Noyd and Sherm gets out the car, hits him with a bottle, and takes his chain too
-Mega wanted the chains so he could use them to get in good with Chris Lighty
-Nas and other street dudes from Queens called Sherm trying to make peace
-Lake gave P his chain back but Sherm still wanted money for it
-He confirms he had the mural taken down because P isn't from QB and he wasn't on good terms with the hood when he passed

He still ain't from there. His cousin lived there. Mega didn't really move there until he started hustling.
It's the Who Am I dvd...well that's where I saw it. He would come out there with Karinger...saw the size of their dimes, which made him move out there to hustle. But dude still like 11-12 at that point...and Prodigy was like 12-13, started coming out there with Havoc and Inf Mobb, and still getting into whatever they were getting into. So it's not like he didn't put in enough work from a young age to claim it.
But like you said, they was hating. He put on enough for QB. Now he gets famous, and suddenly not from QB...which they didn't even start until like '99-'00...4 Mobb Deep albums in. They've known him since they were all young'ns.

The best thing Havoc told Prodigy was to stay away from the QB goons. Havoc himself didn’t fukk with them like that (which makes him plugging Lakey’s book even more weird) Prodigy instead tried to be friends and ingratiate himself into acceptance. Which from one point I can see but when the shyt went down with Sherm The Worm that should’ve been Prodigy’s gangsta wake up call. Prodigy couldn’t be Nas. He couldn’t be Hav. He couldn’t be Cormega. He was QB adjacent, affiliated, adjoining. He was never going to be “one of them” no matter how much love he showed or how dope his rhymes were (and he was amongst the best ever)
QB is a fukked up place with fukked up street politics that just so happens to have produced the most talented rappers and producers the world has ever seen. That environment is crazy, and maybe in its own fukked up way it helped Prodigy become what he did because he worked so hard to get everyone’s respect.
